Default remove rear sway bar too?

I would be better off at the drag strip removing the rear sway bar wouldn't I? I already took off the front.

Just curious as why removing the rear sway bar is bad? Took mine off when I did the 8.8 swap and never bothered to put it back on.

Hm.. If it doesn't do any good then whey do drag guys put bigger adjustable Drag sway bars on the rear.

The rear sway bar will help control the car from twisting off the line.

You can remove it just fine, if you want your car to handle like a canoe.

DO NOT REMOVE. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD, FOR BOTH YOURSELF, AND THE GUY IN THE OTHER LANE!

Car will body roll like it's noone's business, and believe me if you don't think that can and will put you into the other lane, or into the wall.... you really didn't drive it on the street at all with it off.

Don't do it. As already said... there's a good reason we put swaybar's on cars that are made out of a piece of material that's pretty much a rear drive axle!

Like everyone else said do not remove it, it will hurt your performance and could be a safety issue. If anything you would want to go with a better sway bar that is stiffer to help control the chassis twisting up during the launch. Here is a picture of the sway bar/anti-roll bar we build for drag racing, you can clearly tell that it is a much stiffer and stronger bar.

Dang...those pics look nasty. But I have been driving with my rear sway bar off for over 2 months now and havent noticed any major ill-effects. Would my rear end having the mini-ladder bar setup make a difference? Cause mine definitely does not body roll like that, and leaves straight.

It handles just like that lol. I just took mine down the street to see if the tires rub and that's how it felt. Don't do it.

Those g-bodys are not really a fair comparison. They use a 4 link style sys, not a torque arm. Torque arm with no sway bar will probably be worse.
