Question Wheel Offset for Narrowed rear end guys???

OK guys, what rear wheel offset are you running on your narrowed 3" per side rear end? Pics would be appreciated.
I currently run 15x9.75 Bogarts with a 5.375 offset per Steve. I'm not happy with this offset because my 10.5 inch slicks rub the inside even with a 5/16" spacer, thats with the entire bump stop area cut away. I'm considering selling the Bogarts after I purchase a set of Race Star rear racing wheels, already have the front runners. I am looking at a 4.50" offset thinking this will push the wheel further outward, currently I have close to 1.5 inches clearance before the slick comes in contact with the outer wheel well. The same wheels with the 265 60's MT drag radials clear fine. Jay

I run 15x10 welds with 4.5" backspace and narrowed 3" per side. Tires are pretty much centered in the wells with that setup.

Default 3" Narrowed Rear

I really like the look of your car with the 3" narrowed rear end. I know that Moser will cut my axle down, do they cut the housing down also? Will I have to move my LCAs. thx.

Yeah that doesn't sound like the right offset for a 3" narrowed rear. I am 2" narrowed and run a 5.5" BS on my 15x10. I would think with you 9.75" rim you would want a 4.75" BS maybe 5" if you wanted to suck the tires in a little. But No way you could run a 5.375 with out having a mini tub

15x10, 5" backspace, 315/60/15 tires. My rear is effectively narrowed 4.2" per side and the car is minitubbed.

^^^ Are you positive your narrowed that much on each side, that would mean you moved the rim 1.7" inward from stock. Did you relocate your lca's inward or do have them all the way against the stock brackets ? Thanks.

rear was narrowed to the lca bracket (3.75") then I put on a ford brake setup which has a different axle offset which moves the mating surface in (with the rotor hat on) an additional 0.45"

LCAs are moved all the way in on OEM chassis I did end up moving the bracket on the rear in some to make a bit more room.. LCAs are pretty darn close to the sidewall

Thanks guys !!
Below you can see just how far Inward my wheels are. There's approximately 1.5" clearance between the outer wheel well and the edge of the slicks. I will loose alot of this but still think a 4.50" backspacing is in my best interests.

Thanks for the info. Do you ever notice the tire rubbing the lca, and when you say close do you mean less then 1/2" ?

before I moved the lca brackets on the rear, yes they did rub at times....it was probably 1/4" then. I have close to 1/2" now.

here's a pic of my housing after I changed the LCA and shock mounts. when it was originally built by moser, the stock width LCA brackets were basically next to the housing ends. thats why moser says 3.75" is the max they can shorten with "stock" suspension mount points
