Default anyone going fast with the 5.3 NA?

¤puts flame suit on¤ I wasn't sure where to put this thread and thought it was a good start.
So is anyone going fast with a 5.3 NA? What's your combo? Cam? Compression? Etc? I found a lm4 for a descent price for my swap and was curious how fast everyone was going

I can't tell you in an F-body but most anyone with a 5.3 in a truck is boosted to have respectable times.

Well a truck is what 4000 plus pounds? I'm expecting my coupe to be around 2600lbs. So maybe with some spray it should be a 10 second car I would think

With a 4800 lbs race weight in my 07 silverado I ran a 13.70 cam only with a 4.8. The 5.3 trucks will run 12's with cam, stall header NA. My truck ran a 12.60 on a 100 shot. Performance trucks.net is a good place to get info on 5.3's

The 5.3 with some head work and a cam can run some pretty decent times. Not hard to make over 400hp with one NA and then spray it to 550-500hp. We have done quite a few of these.

with a little more work you can go up to a 5.7 on a 5.3 block and use the ls1 rotating assembly

Will the ls1 pistons add more compression? Or would you be better off getting different pistons to increase the compression
