Question: Why stiff wall? I always thought as much wrinkle as possible was best?
still wall will keep the tire from wadding up. you dont want as much wrinkle as possible, it will hurt your 60', because the power of the launch is being absorbed by the tire rather then staying stiff and letting the car use that forward motion to propel it horizontally

Why do you say that? Have you raced on both, how did both sets do?

I'm up in the air about what tire to use on the street. I don't have a 9 sec. car but I do have a 10.40 car. Ive done many 1st gear 200 shot rolls on the street and the car does spin a little bit but in 2nd it likes to walk on me. This is all done on a 295/55/16 MT ET II tire. I took out the stiff sidewall hoosiers slicks and it seemed to hook but it laid rubber in 1st and 2nd. IDK on what to use on the street because when ever I'm using the radial the tires are always been warm and the time I took the slick out for a roll they weren't really up to temp.
