radial vs. slick on the street

My experience exactly. No track around here, stictly unprepped pavement racing. Funny how some of these guys claiming DR's are good. I found that they are crap. I only tried 325/50 MT's though and I'm not throwing down a 1000 to the wheels. I run 28x11 et drags and can recover by peddling & not throw a race.
Question: Why stiff wall? I always thought as much wrinkle as possible was best?

I'm up in the air about what tire to use on the street. I don't have a 9 sec. car but I do have a 10.40 car. Ive done many 1st gear 200 shot rolls on the street and the car does spin a little bit but in 2nd it likes to walk on me. This is all done on a 295/55/16 MT ET II tire. I took out the stiff sidewall hoosiers slicks and it seemed to hook but it laid rubber in 1st and 2nd. IDK on what to use on the street because when ever I'm using the radial the tires are always been warm and the time I took the slick out for a roll they weren't really up to temp.
