Mike you need time at the track with that car which you do not have. There is no way you will figure it out in a day on a hot slick track.
There is also something going on if you can't make it thru the traps N/A with a 28"/4.10 setup. The car on spray should be able to get thru the traps based off your MPH.
The M/T DR is a tire which will be tough to make work on a stick car and would suggest a slick or Hoosier DR.
I am also surprised to hear Madman suggested the lower hole on LCA brackets with your car not being lowered. you sure he understood the car is at stock ride height? how did you set your pinion angle?
I plan to get some people together for a Sat or Sunday at Byron hopefully before the end of the month, so maybe I can get out sometime when you are at the track.

I'll tell you though that if you buy a Soft Lok, plan on the expensive of having it rebuilt twice. Buy the 3rd clutch you'll have figured out how to make it work in your car. After that, you'll love it. That clutch kicks ***..............

cool
I know you stay busy with work, but again it is not going to happen in a day and can't base how it work on the street vs track. I bet you have not went to the track all year knowing you.
4.10/28" is a good all around combo, but will limit the amount of spray depending on MPH/RPM. I feel even a 26" tire should work N/A to get thru the traps if the car does still pull cleanly to 6800 rpm though you said it is out of rpm in 4th. I'm very confused on how that can be.
how are you determining rpm? stock tach. shift light ? is it on the limiter or possibly breaking up and you confused it for the limiter?
5th is not going to work well for you for a drag setup as I'm sure you know
DR's will grow very little unlike a slick / bias ply tire
I have my car, my dads, and many other cars low with 28's and have no issues.
how did you set the torque arm?

how did you set the torque arm?
The car pulls super clean to 7k just hits the limiter in 4th needs to shift into 5th now. The limiter is set at 7k on my dig6 and will pull right up to it. When my tach hits 7k the limiter hits. Doesnt break up at all. No signs of the clutch slipping at all either so im not sure whats going on.
The TA is NON adjustable and factory set at -2 just like its always been so that cant be it. Can it???? Basically its the same exact set up its always been just different tires and shocks. Once I made those changes it started having issues.
The DR does not grow as much as a slick but on a 8"rim it does grow a bit more than on a 10" rim.

I would have to agree that something is odd with your tire/gear that you cant make it through in 4th gear.
Did you have the same rear/ gear with the other tires? I also think that an adjustable torque arm, preferably one that is tunnel mounted would help out. When I put the s-60 in my car, my pinion angle was way off. So I would double check your pinion angle as well as the front mount and trans mount. Make sure nothing is wrong with them.
Also I assume you dont have the front sway bar on? It just doesn't seem like it wants to transfer weight. It does a little and then stops. The other vid's seemed like the same thing happened.

Same rear and gear for the last few years. Only changes were going up to a 28" tire and putting on new shocks.
I just found a vid of my car from the only NA pass from the shootout. Its 1min into the vid and this is when I proved to myself that it needs to go into 5th by staying in 4th.
Password for the vid is dragrace

are you 100% positive you're on a 28" i know its a dumb question but could you have purchased the 26" 275 on accident? i know when my car was still a 6 speed w/ the 396 lt1 i had 4.56, and 4.30 gears, both coming thru the traps in 4th gear on 28" tires, and i wasnt revving it out that hard, maybe 6400, its been a while.

I think I would start with putting it up in the air and rotating the driveshaft by hand to verify what gears are in it. Also recheck your pinion angle the angle of the lca's ( you need to have the suspension loaded to measure them). Something is definitely wrong gear/tire/clutch wise. I think I would make that the priority to figure out.

it takes time, wont happen in a day nor reading LS1tech all day long and changing **** based on what people post....you need to log every run and every thing about the run. change 1 thing at a time, not multiple things.
know what the DA is. What the 60' and 330'.
it all about spending time in the seat....which is hard to come by @ times, I KNOW!

Mike I'm sure your pinion angle is incorrect with the S60, ride height changes and non adjustable TA. I screwed up adjusting my TA last season and my car went from low 1.3's to 1.5's and then found my screw up and the 60 was back.
I would get the car on a drive on lift to check pinion angle and LCA angle to give Brian or Steve some further info to help ( or some of us here )
