OK So my T56 DR experiment first time out
Didnt go so well. lol
Went with Madmans settings on all 4 corners AFCOs out back with his valving and Strange DAs up front. LCA in bottom holes of LCA brackets and TA at -2, UMI drag bar and tires at 14psi hot. Car was also scaled & aligned for drag racing.
Problem is if I launched to low 4000-4500 it would bog terrible then light them up and if I launched hard 5000+ it would just blow them off. 60s were high 1.8s-2.2s. WTF id did better on stock shocks and springs( 1.6s) and never had this issue. Were do I go from here?
This is the only vid I have right now but should have more as they pop up.
Im at the 8:00 min mark.

I am going to reserve my opinion about Drag Radials and T-56 Racing as it has been stated numerous times.
What I do think is overall race weight is going to be a factor, and I know it's scaled but what where the results. I do not know a lot about the car, what rear gear ratio are you running??
I do hope for success and I do think you may have to aim for rental days where the prep can be laid down thick.

Race weight was 3590. Its a pig how do you guys get so light??? I have a S60 with 4.10s out back and a 275x60-15 MT DR. I tried 18psi on the first pass I made and thats when I started dropping pressure. Car has Strange DAs with 300# springs up front UMI K-member, upper and lower A-arms, SFCs, LCA, LCA relos, phb, TA, drag bar, stock rear springs with Madman valved AFCOs.
I mean I figured Id at least be able to 60ft as well as I did on stock suspension. Just seems like the car doesnt work anymore after thousands of dollars.

Like said I do not know a whole lot about the car, I think we need a refresh of the "Before" setup, and the "Current" set up.
This was the best that I could find on short notice and did not see where you went from the auto to a t-56.

There is an answer here but I think for most they need to get the whole picture.

Its aways been a T56 I have an auto in the garage waiting on the new motor to get finished.
As soon as I went to aftermarket shocks the car started being very hard to launch. It either falls on its face or blows the tires off. When I had stock shocks I used a 26" MT DR then a 27" QTP. Those set ups worked the best. Then I put on the front shocks and 28"QTPs with comp 3ways out back and started having issues. Then I went to rear AFCOs and 28" MT DRs and its about the same prob but atleast the car feels better on the street and more stable going down the track.

My car was set up way too tight in the rear and had lca's in the lowest hole and wouldnt cut 2.0 60' times with a auto. Without taking it off the trailer I switched to the middle setting on the shocks and raised the lca's to the center hole and worked with my air pressure a couple pass's on my next outing and it went 1.48 60' without any other adjustment. If your car isnt severely lowered it shouldnt need the low setting on the drop brackets. My .02

Studdering the car is set like Brian/steve said to and Im on a 28" DR currently. Which by the way has me shifting into 5th NA around 1100ft and crosses the line around 6400-6500 on spray and I used to make it right at the 7k limter on 26s NA
Here is a couple passes on my old 28" QTPs with the comp 3ways at 50/50. Pretty much the same way it acts now. Except on spray it will just start spinning after the bog or never recovers. I never sprayed on the 28" QTPs.

Shon, Alan is the reason I know it will work. After seeing that and knowing down the road I will have a A3 in the car DRs were my choice. Went with the MTs over Hoosiers since I drive it on the street and they are proven to work. Now I just need to figure it out. Hope to hit the track this friday weather & time permitting and Ill be able to use the 2 step for better launch control.
Also if you guys look at the other vids I posted the QTPs pretty much had the same issue. Either light them up or bog. Only difference really is the power. On the juice they just keep spinning or start spinning after the bog.

as for the tire and gear where does the car stop making power??? what gear is in it. if you have anything over a 3.90 with spary yea your going to be cutting it close on the jug.
if you want the best for n/a and spray u should have a 3.89 or 3.90 gear. with a 28.

I would call the Madman and see what he recommends. I've got AFCO DA Terminators on all 4 corners with 300# springs in the front. I'm still dialing mine in. Got it to 1.58 so far.
