Default Anyone running the UMI drag bar on the street?

I'm purchasing a UMI drag rear sway bar from one of the sponsors soon. I drive the car on the street maybe every other weekend. do you guys unhook one link like most people do on a standard style anti-roll bar? or is it fine to do a short cruise in town with the links hooked up?

I drive mine always hooked up. I don't carve corners so its not a big issue. The thing drives fine, just a little touchy if you turn quick and I would not even think of removing one of the links

You will be fine imo. I don't drive "like an ******* in the corners"(no front swaybar either) anymore.

This is correct, since the rear bar is much stiffer it will add oversteer to the car, this is when the back end tends to break loose and try to come around during turns. This will happen when you turn quick like mentioned and at higher speeds.

The drag bar does include two settings, one that softens the bar for more street driving.

All in all the bar is very streetable and does well.

I hope that helps!

How many miles you guys driving on this bar? I really need one on mine, but its also my daily seeing both stop and go and highway driving.

I can deal with a little oversteer, but is this thing really touchy? How does it affect the ride and what about road noise? (not that I would hear it over my screamin loud 12 bolt)

I leave mine hooked up on the track setting while driving on the street, Like everyone mentioned don't drive like a idiot you will be fine.

I've put about 8k on the car since 09 and the only problem I get from time to time is the jam nuts come loose but if check them every oil change you will be fine.

Just drove it to work this morning. Felt nice and tight!

It can be touchy, you just need to learn how to drive with it on and it only takes a short time. The most common noise you will hear is the rod end clanking on bumps. No biggie.

You will never notice it straight line, at most is cornering and turning, thats bout it.
