Default HELP ME PICK A TIRE/Wheel COMBO for my setup

setup is as follows
418 ls3 making 500-530 to the wheels 6600RPM shifts
2001 full weight WS-6
T56 6 speed
18lb Flywheel( I know this will hurt 60 ft times)
MWC 9 with 3.90 gears and narrowed

I am looking for DOT legal tires not slicks

Questions I need answered are
I plan to run 10x15 rear wheels but unsure of the offset I need with a 2.25 each side narrowed rear end

I have hard some tires are not good for 6 speeds. I want something that will look but not hook so hard it will bog down my car or lift so high it will cause damage.

Just looking to hear from you guys who have simular setups like mine

I am wondering if I even need a 315 size drag radial for the rear.

NITTO 555rs are out I had them and I know they wont hook at the power lvl I am at.

I have been looking at MT et streets but unsure of what size would be best for my power lvl.

I also know I need to stay 26 with my gear size.

just looking for a little help

Suspension mods? Hopefully you have some good LCAs, UCAs, panhard bar, tq arm etc.

I have heard really good things about M/T drag radials. Are these gonna be used just for the track?

I am running a MWC watts link, LCAS LCA relocation brackets(welded to rear) strano springs and koni shocks.

the shocks are single adjustable but I assume I will want them as soft as possible on the rear and maybe a few settings higher on the front. the springs are 160 rear and 550 front I belive I would have to look at stranos specs again. I think it should do ok with transferring weight but I dont want this car getting seriouse air time or bogging down so a little wheel slippage is needed for my 6 speed

Well track only with the suspension/rear you have slicks are the ticket, ET streets are slicks even if you dont think so. Personally I would go with ET drags. If your yanking the wheels that bad you need to adjust your suspension but I dont see it happening with 500rwhp especially without skinnies.

drag radials break **** on a 6 speed. go with a et street bias ply. the 18lb flywheel likely wont hurt you it does very well on my setup. watts links are not ment for drag cars. and you will be lucky to pop the wheels off the ground 3" for a second. 6speeds with hard hitting clutches spin more than trying to yank the wheels off the ground. and once again drag radials suck on a m6

simple fix... Billet Specialties Street Lite. Available in 15" and 17" with similar styling. Give us a call and we can set you up with the right combo for what you are needing.

I'm running 17" Weld RTS on the front with a C5 rotor. Clearance is tight at the caliper and I haven't tried it with new pads yet.

If the front springs are 550lb/in, I would think those would be a little on the stiff side for drag racing, especially a 6spd that needs to transfer as much weight as it can, as quickly as it can. Idk how deep in to this setup you wanna go, but swapping to atleast a 300lb springs would help out
