Default 26x10.5 et street on 15x10 wheel

So I decided its time to try the et streets, I have 15x10 drag lites in my basement awaiting to have tires mounted on them. I was thinking on using the 26x10.5x15 but will they be too skinny for the wheel. The car is a m6, monster 3, 400 whp, 365 rtq, with mwc 9" 4:10s and a locker in the rear, with a two step for the launch. I have Strano springs and kyb agx and cut a previous 1.67 60ft on Hoosier QTP 28x11.50 on 16" camaro wheels.

They will fit fine. Those exact wheels have had 26x10.5 ET streets, 275/50/15 ET radials on them and hoosier 26x11.50 15s on them

Did the 28x11.50-16 QTP's not hook or are looking to improve your 60' with a smaller tire? What was your 2-step set at? ... just curious.

A 28" on a 16" rim is going to give you a 6" sidewall ... a 26" on a 15" is going to give you a 5.5" sidewall. You don't want to increase your sidewall with an M6? I am planning a 27" QTP and then going to a 28" Drag once all is setup.

two step was set 5000-5700 dependant on track usually about 5300. i was chewing up wheel studs with the 16" wheel. plus i would like to take more advantage of my 4:10s with a shorter tire and see what will happen. i want a DOT tire to do the track events and so WHEN i get pulled over less pee pee smackin done by the mustache man.

I am thinking you will send them up in smoke ... hopefully, you can prove me wrong. Keep me up to date in this tread if you would please.

I'll be dropping my car off at Midwest chassis so Eric and his crew can get it done. Wifey mandated the cage since I'm boarder line of needing a roll bar. She pooped herself the night I sheared my left wheel studs and lost my left rear wheel. Figured once I do a roll bar I am there and will need a full cage down the road so just get it done once and rite. So before more power, gotta make it safe.

nice wife ... my wife was asking about a bellhousing the other night and that I need one. The only problem is I do not want to pull the tranny & clutch for the bellhousing and then again for my tranny build (she knows she will helping like the S60 install). I will just stay away from 5000k launches for now. She already knows that I won't be running the 1/4 until I get a roll bar and her favorite track to spectate is Commerce where I would need one to get by tech. We will see how the shake down runs at a local 1/8-mile track goes.

What size wheel studs are you running?

i am currently using the 1/2 strange screw in studs. when i shearded the last set they were the 12mm strange screw in studs. may have been due to my lugnut choice, stock acorn style on a 16x8 camaro wheel, so this year i have draglites and will be using the mag shank ones for those wheels. if i kill another set, well its time for the 5/8 to get installed into the flanges. i just got asked about a scatter shield as well lol. really not looking forward to pulling the trans. but i could install a speed bleeder on my clutch and inspect my clutch at that point and time. my monster has loved the 5500 clutch drops at the strip. just my trutrak didnt lol.

Yea, a 12mm acorn style will do that to you. I am running strange 1/2"x2" screw-ins as well in my S60 and I foresee no problems and I have RT-S's which are obvious the shank style lugs. My axles are already drilled for 5/8" if I need to go there.

It sounds like we are at similar points in our mods. I not only need the speed bleeder, but a MC as well. I am going the try this year without them, but each of those are going in when I "do" my bellhousing and Tick build next year. At least for now, my 82k T-56 & OZ700 feels fine.

Do you already have the 26-10.50's and why not 26-11.50's?

less weight bro!!! just kidding, i can fit a 11.5 tire no problem. i already bought the 26x10.5 and i am just trying something different and seeing if i can get the car to work with a skinnier tire. i am going to use a billet specalties wheel instead of the draglite. so that will push results back some a little bit longer.
