Default Race Weights?

I am trying to get an idea of a typical race weight for a fourth gen. Looking for some input from the lighter guys...trying to find out how light you can make one.

You should really be looking at car weight because drivers can very over 100lb. My car can be as little as 3000lb(still complete w/ ac, cruise, all seats looks like a normal f-body) and I weigh 160.

Depends on what you want to do with the car. I have seen weights from 3600 to 2800 with driver. There is a lot of good info on here reguarding weight reduction if you spend lots of time searching and reading every post on the subject.

Currently my car is sitting at 2900 lbs without driver. I'm shooting for 2700-2750.

2680 last year 2850ish with driver. Since then switched to slick over radials, swapped the posi for a spool, ditched factory fans for slimfan. But also added n2o bottle and a fullsize battery in the rear.

Getting to 3100# raceweight is fairly easy. After that it becomes more of how much $$$ you want to spend and of course the time and effort.

What is the easy way to get it to 3100lbs? I need to start trimming the fat on my car.

How did you manage such a low weight while keeping everything?

Lots of little this's and thats . To look at the car you would think it was full weight or near full weight. Still has inner bumpers, windshield washer tank, abs and sound deadening.

Im not sure where my weight is at but all that I have removed from the car will go towards my goal race weight of sub-3300lbs...that's with a iron block, turbo (a2w) and cage (8.50 for now but maybe a 25.5 in the future) I'd imagine a na/n2o setup can really get down there in the sub-3k lb range, good luck!
