Default Hunting for 9s at Holleys LS-Fest M6 Firehawk Build Thread! Custom VFN Hood Inside!

I recently had a engine built for my Firehawk. The Heads/Cam wasnt doing it anymore...so I got with Wes at Sho-Me Speed for my needs. He set me up with an iron block.. Plan was just a fast engine swap that has now turned into a complete rebuild of the car!!

Our goal is to be the one of the fastest Monster Clutch car..hopping for Mid Low 9s at around 145-150.. We have less than 4 weeks to get the car done to make to Bowling Green Im sure well be lucky to see 10.0s our first time out but thats our goal by the end of the season. We are lookin forward to going to KY..we had a blast last year and cant wait!

The car is not a ratted out POS but I have recently takin all the HVAC out and loosing a little weight here an there. We just got a UMI Kmember and solid motor mounts. We are deleting power streering and going with a manual rack. Needing to trim the cowl out for the new intake I went ahead and got a VFN Lift off hood. After getting in set on the car I thought to myself how Id really like the scoops to match the Orginal hood...sooo We started cutting a brand new hood up lol..

For Suspension like I said we changed the front Kmember to a UMI set up, going from QA1s to Double Adj. Afcos. The car has all UMI parts on it now.
Heres some pics! Ill post more as we get more completed!

Well got a little more done. Mounted up the Rear Afcos and made brackets to turn the shock 90*. Added another walbro in the tank.

Also a buddy that will be joining us in Bowling Green...we thought we would do a heads/cam swap on his Vette! Mild cam and a set of PRC 2.5 5.3 heads from Texas Speed! Should make this old man rig roll out a little better! The car was stock as a rock before today.

Did you modify that hood or did VFN do it. I have tossed around the idea of changing the hood on my car but I am not sold on doing it yet.
