Question Would you expect to drop 1 sec in the 1/4?

My car with a raceweight of 3400-3450lbs did 11.9 last year. Car dynoed 326/334.

Car is now at 429/392. A gain of 103rwh and 58rwt.
Now, providing the car can hook and the da is the same, would you expect to drop a full second?

Running 10.9 with 429hp at 3400 lbs will be tough. It is definitely doable but takes a very optimized setup.

I would not expect to drop that much. Seems to be around the ET point where more HP is needed than than the .10 per 10hp rule. I would hope for some 11.20s though, you might still make 10s but then you can consider it a nice surprise.

As mentioned, it could happen but will likely need an optimal setup and air.

My car consistently went .9-1 second faster on a 150 shot. So I say no.

It's all in the weight and 60'

With 344hp/346tq @3140RW, I managed a 11.15@120 on a 1.52 60'

Horsepower will only get you so far, weight and 60' will get you the rest.

Other factors as well, such as suspension, weight transfer, traction etc.

I'm guessing you meant roll bar. 10.00-11.49 requires a 5-point minimum roll bar, 10.00 /135 mph or better requires a full cage (roof halo and front pillar/down bars)

Not hating, just wanting to clarify.

Thats why I said 60'. It sums it all up.
you can have any number of the factors you mentioned, but if it all isn't working together to 60' right, it doesn't mean squat.

With 122mph it has the power to dip into the 10's. I ran 10.8's with 122mph

What is your setup ( suspension, gears, converter, etc..)?

Awesome!
Stock suspension minus front swaybar, 3.73 gears (which are making alot more noise after last night), yank ss3600 and mt drs 275 40 17. Tried 25, 20 and 18 psi. The track just sucked.

So no suspension, 17" drag radials (which means you are on 17" rims), and a somewhat small converter.

My suggestion first is to get a looser converter in the 4000+range and lighter drag rim/tire setup. Then work on the suspension.
