Default Radial front, Bias rear... ok once?

I used to run my 275 40 17 street tires on the front and a 26 10.5 et street rear on some camaro rims. Well now I've got some Hooseier 27 11.5 15s on some racestars and the first race will be before my front racestars come in. Will lane walk be any worse than before with the bigger tire? And honestly is fighting the lane walk safe?

Just air the rears up pretty good and take it easy around turns. Shouldn't be a problem. As long as you use your head, you'll be fine. Lane walk shouldn't be much unless you have a spool or locker. I've never felt uneasy about it unless I was going a little too fast. Goes back to using your head though.

The Hoosiers won't walk nearly as much as the M/T's will. They'll walk some, but the M/T's are far worse..

I have been running bias ply MT/ET streets on stock rims for a year now, with radials up front, and have yet to see any of this "lane walk" that I keep hearing about.
I can't see this happening unless you are running very low, or uneven tire pressure.
Am I an exception to the rule?

Are you using the tubes? What pressure are you running?

The faster the car and more power will dictate if it will walk and is so how much. Tire pressure below 15#'s in the rear bias ply will make for a scary ride if running 10's or better

I tried some ET Street bias plys with a radial front and after a short drive sold them. Wagged around too much and correcting made it get worse.

YES, my point exactly. And you have to have low pressure. 10-12 psi always worked for me, other wise it won't hook.

26# on the street. Drop to 18# at the track.
I do not run tubes, you don't need to, unless your using screws.
All I did was swab the inside of the tire with dawn dish soap, let them sit for 24 hrs, then had them mounted and balanced.

That is probably why you don't have the problem. When I started running low 11.0, then 10's I had to drop it down to 10-12 psi. That is when they start swaying. Nothing you can do about it either except switch to drag radials, but I like the Hoosiers, as they don't sway nearly as much.
