Default Weight Reduction 100lb goal on already light car

I've decided to go for another round of weight reduction on my car. I have a lot done already, but I still feel I have more to lose.

First thing I have done is lost some weight on my door panels. I just posted a thread about these and I am still working on finishing these up, just waiting on some more carpet because I messed a piece up for the other door.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-raci...oor-panel.html

Wiring is next and it is what I am working on now.

10lbs so far

Yeah, it's hard to list everything I have done. I have done quite a bit and hole sawed a lot. I just replaced the two seats with a single Kirkey.

Exhaust is headers to short section of pipe to moroso spiral flows.

Brakes are stock. I'm looking for free weight reduction though.

I am considering cutting that area out, but is this considered an un-modified floor pan by NHRA? what can I do and still stay legal? I have a cage in it, but I have swing outs and no net. I don't want to lose my swingouts and I don't want to put in a net. NHRA requires a cage if the floor pan is modifided.

Of course, a rollcage is perfectly acceptable if you wish to install one.

Crush zone is cut out. I am considering cutting out the area around the shock towers. I have bars from the cage running all the way to the front frame.

Is it Okay to remove that brace? will it affect anything?

Heat shields gone

Removing the parking brake scares me (what if the brakes go out)

bracket under column gone

Airbags gone

swaybar gone

cruise gone

AIR gone

ABS gone

Here are few more:
-Floorpan scraped
-carpet insulation gone
-rear half of carpet gone
-interior panels exept for dash and a-arm gone
-interior brackets cut out and gone
-hatch release bracket hole sawed
-headlight brackets hole sawed
-doors hole sawed
-dash hole sawed behind cluster
-vents hole sawed

Here are some things aready done and I am not counting on this 100lbs:
Horns 1lb 2-3/4oz

Removed the hood adjuster brackets by drilling out the spot welds 2lbs 9-1/2oz combined

Fog light switch 3/4oz

interior trim:

piece that goes along door sill and around hood release Driver is 1lb 1oz and Passenger is 14-1/8oz

Sail panels 4lbs 4oz combined

Console lid only 1lb 8oz

Rear speaker panels not counting speakers 3lb 6oz combined

Rear piece that cover the trunk area that folds. I'm not sure the name for it, but it weighed 4lb 3-3/4oz

Seat belt guide on front seat 1-3/4oz each

Rear seat bottom 3lbs 1oz each

Alarm sensor 2-1/8 oz

Rubber coating in the Ttop well weighed 2lbs 9oz Heat it up before scraping.

hole sawed the bracket for the trunk release and got out about 7oz

The fender bracket can be done without if you adjust your fender just right. Removing both sides saves you 12-3/4oz. Also in this pic, part of the fender crumple zone that I didn't cut out when I cut out the crumple zone. The two sides weighed 2lbs 7oz combined
before

after

Passenger headlight bracket I lost 9oz. This counts the fog light bracket that I drilled the spot welds out of. This does not include the removable bracket that hooks to the back of the headlight and then to the radiator support. I got rid of that a long time ago and I don't know what it weighs.

Driver headlight bracket I lost 10oz. Same goes for the small bracket that was already gone.

Here is the radiator support:

Here is mine when I had it apart for the cage you can see some cutting I did at the bottom of the radiator area, but I don't know how much weight it was because that was several years ago:

Unfortunately I have never gotten to weigh it. The one time I went somewhere with a scale the scale was not working. I plan to get up to Beech Bend in the next few weeks and weigh it.

I haven't had a panhard brace on my car in years. I don't think that area is highly stressed when going in a straight line. If it was a road course car then I would keep it.

I would, but I use them too much backing in the water box and pits. Surly there is something in behind them that can be taken out though.

I also changed my battery from a huge trolling motor battery to an Optima. I am pretty sure it's lighter, but forgot to weigh it. Also not counting this toward my goal.

Old battery

New bracket

I made it from 1/8 x 1.5" aluminum flat bar. It weighs 3.5onces per foot. The bracket is very light. I also used it to make my battery disconnect bracket.
