How much under $600? UMI just sent me an advertisement email and they have the front coilover kit for $549 and free shipping.

Ok so I took the car to the track last night and tried out these new shock settings. I have qa1 24 way double adjustables, put the compression on 10 and started the rebound at 4 and kept the tire pressure around 18.5 psi and started my launching at a low rpm 4500. It bogged really bad that run so I upped the rpm until it spun. I then turned the rebound down until it started to hook.

I eventually got the rebound down to 1 and kept the compression at 10 and had the tire psi at 17. My best run of the night was an 11.29 @120 with a 1.64 sixty foot on a 6200 rpm launch spinning the tires a lil bit. These new settings feel pretty good, can't wait to try it out again and see where it goes.

Thanks again guys for writing up a good thread. Wish this was out years ago when I got these shocks

What tires are you running tyler? Id like to get some better slicks when mine are done and get some actual drag slicks.

Hoosier 28x10x16 full slick. Love these tires, they last twice as long as any mickey Thompson tires that I've bought .

main thing with a stick car is controlling the separation in the rear and making sure it doesnt bounce back up.

normally getting a stick car to work requires some specific shock valving when you are trying to go really fast.

Interesting point on custom valving. Where would someone go to get a shock revalved? Ive seen madman does them for afco shocks, are there any others? Any input on when to revalve them?

you can talk to madman, he's actually a very sharp guy. or talk to afco, penske, or jri or koni... they all have some sharp tech guys.

ideally you'd find the setting on the shock you have now that works the best. have them dyno it on that setting and have them make that certain setting your "center adjustment" and narrow the shock settings around it.
