Adjusting compression and rebound

Ok so I took the car to the track last night and tried out these new shock settings. I have qa1 24 way double adjustables, put the compression on 10 and started the rebound at 4 and kept the tire pressure around 18.5 psi and started my launching at a low rpm 4500. It bogged really bad that run so I upped the rpm until it spun. I then turned the rebound down until it started to hook.
I eventually got the rebound down to 1 and kept the compression at 10 and had the tire psi at 17. My best run of the night was an 11.29 @120 with a 1.64 sixty foot on a 6200 rpm launch spinning the tires a lil bit. These new settings feel pretty good, can't wait to try it out again and see where it goes.
Thanks again guys for writing up a good thread. Wish this was out years ago when I got these shocks

main thing with a stick car is controlling the separation in the rear and making sure it doesnt bounce back up.
normally getting a stick car to work requires some specific shock valving when you are trying to go really fast.

Since were on this subject what would be a better starting point than what Viking recommends on there instructions for the front and the rear??
2000 Camaro 3 speed
4:11/spool
M/T drag slicks 28x10.5
Trans brake
2 step
Weight I'm not sure??

ideally you'd find the setting on the shock you have now that works the best. have them dyno it on that setting and have them make that certain setting your "center adjustment" and narrow the shock settings around it.
