Going to put all the interior minus carpet back in tonight, to get it ready for the cage. He wants everything in it for fitment. I've decided I'm going to buy the Strange race brakes. I have a manual master cylinder for the car and Steve from SJM talked me into it lol. I bought my other battery, autocraft lfp-8. I'll be running 2 of them, 500cca a piece and they weight 3.9lbs a piece so there is quite a bit of weight savings. Also the Strange brakes should drop about 85lbs off the car also.. So that offsets the cage work. Hoping for 3150lbs with me in it. We'll see..

Still haven't received my PSI harness yet. Hopefully soon. I ordered my electric fans and the rest of my fittings, they should be here today.. It's getting there! Slowly, but surely.. Shooting for 9's on motor.. I don't see why it wouldn't do that..

Little update, car is in Arkansas at Chris Sorrentino's shop (used to own S.O.S.) hopefully cage will be done soon. For now I've been tinkering with my 99 HO z28 to hold me off while this is being built. After the cage and transmission get back, it's all up to me. But waiting on everyone else sucks lol

It's been a few months since I updated the thread. Car is back from chassis work, even tho some things that were discussed were not done. Trans is back also. Only thing that I have left to purchase (and I don't have to have it to get it running) are Strange race brakes, and the nitrous stuff. I'll throw up some pictures of the cage work soon. Gonna try to have it back together soon! Finally done waiting on everyone else, although now I've lost motivation.. Which sucks.. Once the wrenches start turning, I should gain motivation again.

Nice seeing and update on the car man, I bet it does suck having the car gone that long for chassis work. I understand the motivation issues though, when its winter time I think it suck for that. Even though thats when I do all my upgrades during the winter its not like I get in a big hurry lol. Now in the summer when everybody is out every weekend I cant stand it and get stuff done in a hurry, youll get it though juss keep on keepin on.

A little update.... I've managed to acquire a 440cid lsx short block.. I've also ordered several small parts to get closer to putting this thing together. Engine bay body work is holding me up, but will be finished soon. I keep promising pics, I know, I'll post some up soon I promise. I haven't given up yet! Excited to see where this goes with the new engine!

As promised, here's a few pics of the cage work.. They ended up not doing my engine bay bars, and also didn't do a dash bar because "there wasn't enough room".... They didn't make a brace for the manual rack, and they cut my headliner on accident, and cracked my dash.. I'm happy with the cage work they did. But pissed about the things they messed up, and the things didn't do..

I'm going back to MLRE next Saturday to move everything from the 416 to the 440..

I also got Moroso tanks for the radiator over flow, and pcv catch can. Really trying to get it finished before Lsfest. I started on the engine bay body work to get everything ready for paint also. The core support is really flimsy, so we're welding a piece under it to strengthen it up so it doesn't crack.

I'm making headway.. This car should be nasty!!

All the interior is out and the engine bay body work is starting to come together. But there's still a long way to go!
