Awesome build. Where did you get the center cap for the steering wheel?

It's the one that comes with the wheel, I engraved it myself at work. Thanks

I didn't like the temps I was seeing with the procharger 16" fan so I swapped it out for a nicer Spal 16" fan and also added a Spal 9" fan to help control temps. Tunred out really good and now stays cool like I want it.

Been away for awhile but still been working on the car with upgrades.
First off I took the entire inside apart again and doing a 100% rewire from Race Wire Solutions, custom panel and roll cage mount 9 switch panel. Still waiting on these parts to finish so I can install.

Next thing I did was remove the factory radiator and cut the core support for the new Griffin one. Got it as far forward as I could and used a 12" puller fan on the back and a 11" pusher fan on the front so I had more room for the procharger.

Next, I came across a Dan Schoneck cog drive bracket that was a deal to good to pass up so of course I got it. Removed the Aster bracket and pulleys to make room for it, first I painted it to match my engine, then installed it this morning.

Next upgrade down the road will be to send my F1A to procharger for the F1C upgrade.

Just read this whole thread. What an awesome build! Love the truck and trailer too!

I'll definitely be using this thread over the winter here when I do my upgrades. I have a D1 procharger on a 383 right now. I'm having some heat issues too not bad just too high for my liking. I thought the intercooler was blocking too much but it looks like I just need to move some more air.

Again, awesome build!

PS - How does this car compare to what you drive at work

Sorry been away for awhile, thanks for liking my build

Once I got rid of the fan that comes with the procharger kit and upgraded to a Spal 16" and then added a Spal 9" it kept it really cool and didn't overheat anymore.

Once I get her back running I want to see if they would let me drag race an F-16 for a 1/4mi, I think it would be a good race, lol.

That would be sweet. Lol. Need to get some video of that race!

For the cooling, I upgraded to a Spal 16 but I didn't add the 9" yet. I should probably just do that mod. Did it create any excessive heat under the hood. I was reading somewhere that was an issue. Also how is your new setup with the pusher and puller fan combo with the griffin radiator. I was thinking about trying that. I have a nice BeCool radiator now.

I could see it causing extra heat with the stock WS6 hood but I don't have a cowl anymore and my hood goes all the way to the windshield so it gets the heat out really quick. I haven't cranked the car up with the new radiator, pusher/puller, and cog drive set-up yet. I am still waiting on some wires components from RaceWire Solutions. I removed every piece of stock wiring and doing a full rewire. Everything will be on a 9-10 switch panel on my roll cage. Keeping the necessary stuff to keep her street legal.

I didn't think about that with the new hood. I would like to do the cowl delete and some weight saving mods this winter too. Maybe I'll sell my hood and upgrade. The under hood temps for me now are even pretty warm.

I'll be keeping close tabs of your progress on the interior wiring because I'd like to do the exact same. I just ordered a PSI wire harness for the engine compartment but my interior wires are terrible. When I had the cage put in it I hated not replacing everything then. I'll look into Racewire. I was going to try and make my own harness but they are always harder than they look.

Nothing crazy new so far, still waiting on the all the wiring from RaceWire Solutions.
I did get a new steering shaft from Burkhart chassis and went ahead and put it in. Turned out really good and dropped about 15lbs of weight.

I dropped the fuel tank so I could remove the evap crap, made a bit more room and also dropped another 9lbs, not much but every little bit helps.

Biggest update is I sent my F1A back to procharger and had it upgraded to an F1C, now it will be sent off to Steve Morris to get his internal volute for even more power.

How's the build coming?

Did you get any of the electrical system redone?

Have you thought about or already went 16v? I have mine all tore down now and I can't find a reason not to.

Still waiting on my wiring harness from Race Wire Solutions, Eric from MWC told me he has been swamped this year so I will get it one day, just hopefully before race season starts back, lol.

I haven't ever thought about going 16v but I might need to do some reading into it.

Yeah for your type of build it seems like the way to go. Daily drivers prob not. But even the stock PCM I've read handles up to 18v. I upgraded the PCM and was reading it likes 16v better. Fuel pumps run better, water pumps etc. Bulbs don't last as long but are brighter so oh well lol. I just started looking into batteries and having my alternator converted over and I figured I'd see if you had done it already. Is the Racewire harness for the interior or what is it for? You have a PSI harness also don't you?
