Default Front Bumper Support

Debating removing the front bumper support on my T/A while the bumper is getting worked on and repainted. I have never had the bumper off but i assume the support holds the fog lights in place? so i will loose and do all the bumper tabs hook to the support? also will the bumper sag and flop around when reaching speeds around 70?

Get the MWC front bumper support piece. Don't remove the stock one and put nothing in its place.

If your driving it on the streets leave it on.
May help in a wreck.

I made my own to replace the stock one, cut a decent bit of weight out. Kept the fog lights, made a bracket for them.

How much weight is saved going that route?
Are they worth a damn if the front end gets hit?

They save about 20 - 25 pounds depending on who you listen to. As for crashing, we advertise for off road use only.

Thanks, I was told about one and have been thinking about one for awhile. I just didn't know if this was a good choice for a car that sees more street time then track time that's all.

You can remove quite a bit of weight and still be safe.
Keep your crash bars and doors bars.
Could save your life.

I'd say 20 pounds is stretching it. The stocker, at least for the camaro, is not near as heavy as it looks.
