Default 6 week wait for VFN Sunoco hood

Just like the title says,6 week wait for VFN Sunoco hood.
It says on their website "in stock now and ready to ship"
Anyone have any suggestions to where I can get a similar
Sunoco style hood now. Thanks.

Just talked to a guy who waited 6 weeks and they told him it might be another 6 weeks.
So yea, who makes a quality Sunoco style hood for a 98-02 F-Body?
I'm looking for a pin on style.

Some hoods have a lead time especially around this time of year everyone got their tax refund and blows it on their car. If you want that hood then wait or look for a used one. I have one on my Z and love it. Fit great like most of their stuff does but my two TA hoods did not fit quite aswell.

What about the 6" vfn? Is it in stock? If so I have a vfn extended sunoco and want the 6", I'll sale mine if they have the bigger one ready to go. My car is the one on their site showing the difference in them

I didn't want to go with the extended version because I didn't want to pull air
From the front of the car. I'm running a super Vic with a open 4150.
I might have to go that route and trim it.

I bought a stock style fiberglass hood for my 01 grand prix from them recently.
Took about 6 weeks to get it. Luckly I ordered it back in December.
Was a long wait but was really happy with the quality of it. But it wasn't a pin down version.

Fitment seems to hit and miss with aftermarket hood places. My 2x more ASCD hood on my
daily GP fits for crap and hole formed at one point in the front.

What you didn't say is that you were asking about the non extended pin on hood - this is not an "in stock" item - nor do we advertise this on the site as such.
It is our bolt on without line that is advertised in stock.

As I explained to you on facebook, we don't sell the non extended's too often. Winter is our busy season. And we've been slammed. It is true that any hoods that are not in stock are currently at 6 weeks - that's normal production.
Custom items - such as installation of a scoop - 6-8 weeks.

We also suggested going with the extended for a quicker turn around.
AND gave you the option of rushing an non extended pin on - 3-4 weeks instead.

Was just told that you did place the order - we thank you for that. And we'll get that guy out as quickly as possible for you.

Not sure who's order has been 6 weeks and we're telling them another 6. This is not something we're doing. PM me your order number/information and I'll look into this for you.

Know it's hard waiting, but will be worth it! The wide bolt ons we don't keep in stock either ~ giving it that 5-6 week production time.
(Thanks much!)

Good to hear that is cleared up. I keep thinking about ordering the extended, pin on Sunoco hood. I guess we will see how things go.

I have the VFN pin on extended hood, doors and back hatch, They fit PERFECT. the only thing that had to be trimmed was the back of the hood to fit the windshield. They told me up front that it had to be done. My car was perfectly straight. Maybe the guy that had problems, and didn't have that luxury. Why do you think there is a wait. That's because everyone wants there products. When have you ever bought anything with high quality that you didn't have to wait. I can tell you that it will definitely be worth the wait. These people will bend over backwards to try to help you. Quality is second to none. They hooked me up with Burkhart Chassis for the back wing. it looks very similar to the overbeek wing. Very nice. Burkhart Chassis even had a very nice chrome moly front bumper cover support and a real nice battery relocation mount that goes where your spare tire mounts, and you don't have to be isolated to an optima. I had to wait for these as well. But it was worth it. My friend got that Glastec stuff and had to hack it all up to get it to fit. Thank You VFN.
