Default 4 ply or 8 ply Sportsman Pro Fronts?

Just as the topic says

4 ply or 8 ply sportsman fronts for a car that sees street/strip duty and why.

Are the 8 ply a lot heavier? More stable?

(Most driving to the strip or the occasional cruise around town

Probably 5000 miles a season tops.

i ran 4 plys and 8 plys. the 4 plys i only ran for a little bit but you had to fill them to 50 psi to get them to support the weight of the car. the 8 plys supported the weight much better, but i had a set seperate on me so i wont run them anymore

Coach,

do you think they will be good for 5000 miles a year? Street/strip?

If not what would you recommend?

Yes, I do think they would last 5000 miles per year.

I don't know what the 4 plys weigh, but the 8s are 19-20lbs each. They are freakin heavy.

8 ply only Frosty, all other tires I've tried cupped and killed belts inside the tire due to 3000+ weight of my car.

i am very happy with my 8 ply's

also dont freak out and bitch out jegs when you get them and they say 4 ply on the side.

apparently the 4 plys say 2 ply as well.

apparently there are two sets of the 4 ply's onb the tire which makes 8
