Got my hood pins on. Pics are in my Picture trail site in my sig. Hey Todd, are your scuff plates rusting?? Mine are, damn it ! How can I clean/polish those?
Also decided against removing the pass. side air bag.
Next project will be: smaller resevoir catch can for the radiator, remove AIR Pump as vacuum pump and replace with Speed Inc. Breathers.

Oh, Had to re-install the rear seats and seat belts since the baby was born.
Haven't decided if I should remove the rear bumper or not.......

solid tranny mounts........not a good idea. any twisting in the car could potentially crack your tranny case

Remove TCS cablign with non tcs stuff from non tcs car. If not cut extra bracket length off TCS equipped cars throttle bracket.Lot of unnessary bolts underneath dash board. Take out extra fuses. Remove extra spare tire well bracket, antennae mast. Remove glovebox, or dash itself. Take metal clips off tranny cooler lines, use zip ties. Cut extra tabs off of T56 transmission. Remove torque arm bracket with spohn style TA

Grind out seam filler thats under carpeting in hatch and interior area under carpet. Remove blakc foam stuff from trunkwell. Ounces make pounds!

A lot! I wouldn't be suprised if my T/A driver seat weighed in at 45 lbs.

Here are some actual weights I got using a digital scale. It's pretty accurate; we use it at work to set product weights in our database. We're audited by UPS on a regular basis for shipment weight accuracy, so it's darn close.

Weight is in pounds of course. I grouped it by area because most seem to take off weight in "groups/areas" rather than indivdual pieces.

A/C

Condenser... 8.6
Compressor...15.0
Cannister...2.0
Hoses(all)...2.3
A/C bracket,
all bolts,
retainers...4.3
Canister bracket... .1

Total = 32.3-lbs

Rear Harch area

Spare tire... 28.0
Jack,retainers,
lug wrench,
cover ...10.7
Rear T-top flap... 4.2
Rear speaker panel...3.4

Total... 46.3-lbs.

Wheels/Tires

26x10.5x16 Et Streets on 16" chrome TA rims (1)
15 psi ...43.9

18x9.5 Chrome Y2K's w/Michelin Pilot 275/35/18 tires ... 52.1 (1) 35 psi

Weld Prostars w/ 26x11.5x16 Et Streets..coming soon.

Stock lugs(5)... .6
Chrome lugs(5)... .5

Miscellaneous

Front floor mat(1)... 1.7
Rear floor mat(1)... .7
Complete EGR unit...3.9
SS rear brakeline... 0.0
Stock brakeline... .1

That's all I have for now. Hope this helps.

Is that 7.5 lbs per bar or for both?

Also, how did you get it out without cutting it?

That's almost 7 1/2# per bar (including the bolts and spacer).

I only removed the passenger side bar. Didn't want to compromise safety by removing the drivers also. I almost never take a passenger.

To get it out I cut a hole slightly larger than the bar in the end door panel. The bar will slide right out (if you cut the hole in the right place). I covered it back up with aluminum tape and painted it black, the color of my car. Don't even notice it really.

I have a full weight car, auto, with a 400lb driver!!!!! I assume that puts my "race weight" in at aroung 3950lbs with some gas...is that about right?

I could shave a second off my car by doing all the weight reduction mods and having a 120 lb guy drive it for me.

I guess I will just add nitrous and not tear my car apart!!

You guys are way more hardcore than me!
