Here are some actual weights I got using a digital scale. It's pretty accurate; we use it at work to set product weights in our database. We're audited by UPS on a regular basis for shipment weight accuracy, so it's darn close. ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)

Is that 7.5 lbs per bar or for both?
Also, how did you get it out without cutting it?
Also, how did you get it out without cutting it?
I only removed the passenger side bar. Didn't want to compromise safety by removing the drivers also. I almost never take a passenger.
To get it out I cut a hole slightly larger than the bar in the end door panel. The bar will slide right out (if you cut the hole in the right place). I covered it back up with aluminum tape and painted it black, the color of my car. Don't even notice it really.

I have a full weight car, auto, with a 400lb driver!!!!! I assume that puts my "race weight" in at aroung 3950lbs with some gas...is that about right?
I could shave a second off my car by doing all the weight reduction mods and having a 120 lb guy drive it for me.
I guess I will just add nitrous and not tear my car apart!!
You guys are way more hardcore than me!
