Yep two 11.0x at 120ish mph.
60' in the 1.44 and 1.48's.
I am only getting 26 degrees of timing. This has my power down. (sucks) But should be fixed by the end of the week.
Secondly? This converter is too big. It is just not right. I will be "demodding" to either a TP4400 or something very close to it.
Not too bad for a shakedown night. But not all I wanted either.
P.S., I am not using the "holley" manifold right now....fitment problems.
Better times a coming.

Wow those are some excellent 60 ft times with a 4L60E!
I went to US41 on Sunday. Same time last year we had a foot of snow on the ground.
Well, 29 barometer, DA no idea, and 50's, and a headwind... I went...
ET Streets at 15psi, Hals at 3/3 for most runs. On the 1.51 pass the front Hals were at 2/2, I think I should have left them there. I spun on last two runs for 5 feet.
1/8th was like 96.0 mph which is pretty crappy. I am at 3625 weight but I pretty much need to raise the 1-2 from 6100 to 6600 per Colonel.
11.25@118.68 / 1.51
11.27@118.76 / 1.55
11.21@119.73 / 1.53
11.20@119.91 / 1.54

John I could see you easily hitting 10's if you up that shifting...I don't know why you were shifting at close to stock redline....your motor is built for it...shift at 7 G's...

So was all that hype about the UY4800 (or whatever it is) simply hype?
What gives; were you wrong in this choice for your application? Does this convertor suit a car revved above 7000 with alot of gear?

...Well, I dont rev my car as high as Mike (Yank) would like me too. He wants 6800 or higher...i'm just not going to be revving over 7000. Secondly. What works well on the dyno may not work as well at the track. It had to be tried to find out. Hype? The prospectus sounded good... it just didnt deliver the goods in my application. Does that mean it is a bad converter? nope... just MAYBE not the best in my application. I will be going back to my TP400 tomorrow... and then retesting. The 1/4 problems I am having may not be the converter at all. but the only way to tell is take it out and re try whay I KNOW works.

...I dont know. On the surface I would say it is just the wrong converter for MY application. The track will tell me what is and is not "right" for my application.
Gear and R's together would benefit this converter more. I dont turn enough R's to make full use of it. (I think)
I'll keep y'all informed.
(dagn Ii'm not looking to ANOTHER tranny drop. Just did one for a bud tonight.... and mine tomorrow, UGH)

Hang in there amigo! Hey, if it turns out that it wasn't the right one for you, well, we envelope pushers have to be the ones to try some new **** sometimes, right? It's just the nature of this game.

As a general rule, Mike likes the stall to be at least 2000 rpm less than the shift point and as much as 2500 rpm. We see the YTP 4400 running just fine on 2000 rpm (or less) spread. It would be interesting to try the UY4800 in a transbrake application. Maybe that the UY4800 can't be loaded up enough with a footbrake to get the maximum 60' benefit.
Good luck and keep us posted.
