GeorgeC went 10.8 with stock cubes, and now Raugh has gone 10.6... I'm sure that Raugh ran in some killer air and he did post that his car is 3000 lbs w/o him. Think how light that is, and that's WITH A rollcage. I never thought that LS1 stock cube cars would cut 1.3 60 ft times but now we have at least two that have NA.

I didn't think we still had anymore of those Houston Haters still around, guess I was wrong. Just me, I know John and if you've got a similarly set up LS1 - I'm pretty sure he would gladly take some money off your hands.

It's not the fact that he cut a 1.3 that blows my mind. It's the fact that he did it with a 4L60E and foot-braking! That's CRAZY!

Wait just a minute!!!!! The "Pepper" don't have no transbrake???? Well slap me down!!!! No transbrake, stock suspension, 1.38 60ft.... John needs to quit his day job and open up a consulting firm. He could save the stock eliminator guy's a fortune just selling his secrets to them.

I believe John is a genius.

River City Raceway in Seguin (east of San Antonio) is open on Wednesday's. As many runs as you want for $15. It opens at 6:30. Not many people go out on Wednesday's, either. There is no wait time at all.

Thanks amigo, but I start working evenings thrusday at 2 pm. That will continue till the following Wednesday.

Well, this has some promise:

Drag Strip Test and Tune
Time: 9:00am Central
Location: Drag Strip
Test and tune your car to get ready for the upcoming racing season.
Junior Dragsters will run at 10:00 am, 12 noon and 2:00 pm
Times: Gates open 9:00 am
Time trials 10:00 am
Secure Track 5:00 pm

Maybe I can run in the morning and then hightail it to work in the pepper before 2pm. Man it would suck to break that morning.
Man, i am thinkging of buying a trailor more and more. I want one but they dont give them away.

I wonder if the weather will be worth a flip saturday. (guess I can go check it)
I really want to run in the killer weather we are supposed to be having wednesday. (dang you HRP)

John C.

Thats it... I dont like trailoring the car. But that seems like the perfect reason to approach the wife. "Who the heck wants to break 300 miles from home?" So I guess the pepper on a trailor is
going to happen.

River City Raceway got a good launch pad?

You and me both. The two times last fall were the first time I had EVER trailered any of my cars, but it sure was nice going a few hours out of the way without worrying. On the other hand, like you've said 1000 times, it sure is nice to go and run a 10 or 11-sec run and then drive home with the other guys looking in disbelief.

I just wish there was not over a foot of snow on the tracks up here!

Did you put in your 12-bolt yet? I hope not so you can be the first in the 1.3x's with a stock rear.

I do love doing that....running 10's and drving it to work or home from the track.

The rear? it is a 7.5" with 3.73 gears and no T/A girdle.

Cutting 1.3x's on ANY factory stock rear end makes you DA MAN!!

Your car must leave really smooth...do you have any video of those 1.3x 60's??

Regardless of weather, I think I'm going to start going out on Saturday's just to get more than 2 or 3 runs in and make it a real test 'n' tune session.

John...how much you looking to spend on a trailer?

Cutting 1.3x's on ANY factory stock rear end makes you DA MAN!!.....Thanks man. The car has always left with good 60's. (good mojo'?)

Your car must leave really smooth...do you have any video of those 1.3x 60's??....well, a fella that was there said he had a video and would be sending it. He got the launch but said a pole covered the end of the run. Which is no biggie since they dont show times on fri or sun nights.
but yes, it was a video of the 10.68 run which had a 1.3 60'. the car does leave very smooth. Both wheels come up and it goes. There is no twisting of the body or veering left or right. Just about a 6" wheelie, the tires planting the car goin up and out. It's not really very violent looking at all.

John...how much you looking to spend on a trailer?

...New? 1800 or so. Used 900 or so. Why are you asking?

Bring the Pepper to RCR! Gates open at 6pm and staging lanes open at 6:30. Track hooks up pretty good. Lines are really short on Wednesday. Especially if you come early.
