Lingenfelter TT 427 goes 9.41 @ 149.4mph at RCR!!! 427TT goes 0-100 in 4.3 seconds....9.41 @ 149.4mph.....wimpy ol 346 ci TT went 10.5 @ 138 mph ...both on slicks...both at RCR...both with wimpy launches to keep from breaking the IRS.. these times were posted by SW on the Vetteforum.

There is a ton of money behind the project, they took a lightweight hardtop C5 and converted it to an A4 (all hardtops are M6). Its definitely a sleeper, and as Patrick stated it is very quiet going down the track. Those turbos are all you hear!
Patrick, I hear that the C5 might have a TH350 in it. Any truth to that? If that is a 4L60E tranny, then who the hell built it?
Loco, that is definitely flying, but I gotta respect the awesome driving abilities of SW to launch/row a Corvette into the 9s. That car is slammed down as far as it can be and is far from being an optimized drag racing setup. Oh yeah, and his car is currently at MTI for more fun.

Hennessey put himself in shame for the last several months after screwing many customers for many many many thousands of dollars. One guy lost over $120K with Hennessey! Read some of the threads over on corvetteforum for details.

The C5 still runs the 4L60E tranny. Lingenfelter uses Rossler Transmissions for his TT C5s. Very expensive, but holding together.
The converter is very similar to a Pro Yank 3400 Extreme (larger 258mm, Posi-lockup Kevlar clutch). That's some serious *** haulin'.
