Yeah picked up a stage 2 cam and 220 trickflow heads from BTR. An advantage I have is that I'm willing to alter my car more than he is. I'm hoping to get to 11s with this set up. Might need to work on suspension to get there but I'm on my way I think.

I'm interested in seeing how the BTR stage 2 works for you, ive been looking at countless camshafts and cannot make up my mind for the life of me, so far I have had people recommend the TSP 233/239, TSP Tsunami, BTR stg 2 and one of the titans from cam motion but have not been able to pull the trigger on one, trying not to spin to the moon

Went to the track today. Haven't gotten the heads yet so I haven't put the cam in. Did 2 runs, 1st stalled at probably 2800 and had a 1.8 60ft. Tried to peddle the 2-3 shift and ended up 12.9 @ 103. 2nd pass I tried 3000 and same 60ft. Tried to stay in the 2-3 shift but it limped out 13.1 @ 98. Transmission is killing me.

Brother got a mail order tune and a CAI and ran a 11.8 @ 116. I'm itching for those heads to get here to say the least. And probably need to get the transmission worked out.

Soon enough you will be spanking his 5.0, I raced my buddys 5.0 and from a dig he really aint beating up on me his mods are, 3:73, gt350 intake, LT headers, xpipe, cai, tune and full suspension and can only put about half a car on me and does not gap me my only mods so far is my 1 7/8 headers, 3in x-pipe with a ram air set up but my car seems to be a freak sense I beat that 392 scat pack challenger

those trick flow 220's are flat awesome on a 346. I honestly think on that cam and those heads, assuming the supporting mods are there you'll get well into 11's

The TFS 220 heads will support 500. The cam is too small to hit 500 rear wheel on a NA 346. You also need to do everything else right. Those heads with BTR stage 4 might get you pretty close, then the right supporting mods, and I can see it happening.

I think OP will notice quite a bit stepping up from what he has in the car to what he has in boxes.

I was debating on buying a set of those heads myself I like the fact they can be ported to 235 later down the road and opened up to a 4" bore

This is a great point. The heads are a basis for about anything you want to do in the future.

thats the way i seen it, buy them now while the motor is still 346 base then when going bigger and the heads become a choke point just send them out to be done so you dont gotta buy twice and they will still flow good while you save the cash to get them done
