Default Steering wheel size with manual steering

99 camaro with manual steering. Should I pick up a 13" or 14" steering wheel for it. Mostly a drag car. Thanks

Whats your setup? Manual rack? Skinny or wide fronts?

Wouldn't mind hearing some more opinions on wheel size. I really like the price and look of those Grant wheels.

I street drive a MWC manual rack with 17x7 rims and a 225/50/17 tire. Parking lot driving and parking can be a minor issue. I am in need of a wheel soon for button placement. Hate the look of the stock fbody steering wheels.

I've had 13" wheels on multiple different vehicles with many different set ups like a 75 Malibu, 85 Caprice, 85 Monte SS, 75 Prostreet Camaro, and multiple Mustang chassis. Some had a radial type tire but they all had a spool with the Camaro having a huge steam roller in the back. Most were daily driven minus the big tire Camaro all of them with either manual rack or converted power rack.

It never bothered me to turn but then again what bothers one person doesn't bother the next.

I never measured the wheels, but I used to have a 64 Plymouth with a 440 and manual steering. I switched back and forth from the large stock wheel to a smaller sport wheel. Honestly, I like the smaller wheel better.

I didn't find that the larger wheel made it any easier to turn, and it was a PITA to cover all that extra "distance" from the larger circumference. It may be a touch easier with the larger wheel, but the extra hand over hand work for each turn makes it not worth it.

I have the MWC manual steering kit with slicks and skinnies and a 13" wheel......

That ****** is a pain in the *** to turn when parking. Hell with the trans brake being held in for reverse I cant really steer in reverse with one hand.

I just picked up a 14" wheel hopefully this makes it better.

Once your moving its fine, but it starts to get old after a while

Having the trans brake solenoid on a toggle switch helps out with that.
