Anyone trimmed rear fender to clearance 28" Drag Tires?
I was looking at the back of the rear fender last night where most 28" tires rub on f-bodies. Looks like some of the material can be trimmed off the plastic without modifying the brackets on the fender. Has anyone cut the plastic at the bottom of the fender and if so how much and do you have pics

Pick a cool name and it will never need to be changed.
My 28's rubbed a hole in the rear bumper cover.
I will have to clearance both sides.

Derek, I had to do a ton of clearancing to get my 28" to fit and it still rubs slightly. I'll posts some pics tonight of what I did to help them clear the rear bumper fascia.
I had to use a BFH to clearance the inner wheelwell and I also took the bump stops off.

Sweet Jason. Sounds like a plan. Are you leaving the bump stops off on the street or just when you have the drag tires on. I thought of removing them to clearance my new rear street tire setup but didn't know if it would hurt.
And PSJ I am a different person everyday and my mind works differently I have to have a new name to go with it lol. One of the better features of this board lol

Derek, the bump stops will never be able to go back on the car. I had to remove them and flatten that section down for the tires to fit with enough clearance. I figured I saved a pound or so.

LOL....sounds like a sweet setup BFH mod. I might roll the inner lip of my fener too. Are you having any problems with the lip cutting your tire? Also what springs do you have on the back.

My bump stops are still in place and I didnt have to trim any of my bumper cover. The tire does rub slightly on the big end. Did have to beat the front of the inner wheel well with a BFH though. This is with a 28x10 tire.

Tim has a point. Maybe its the chemicals getting to my head
I need to try to figure out what backspacing I need with my new rear and I guess I'll get my 28's and start playing with them
