Set anew best in my Black SS automatic last night.
11.203 @ 120 4l60 yank 3600, 3.42 gears race weight estimate 3100-3150
Fun side note. You’ll see my dad in our stock internal 6speed lines up against me
will post other two time slips as well. Had one go 120.98pmh but these two other runs it hit the limiter on 1-2 shift so it slightly slowed down even though it mph more. All runs were in the 11.2s at 120+

Installed Detroit speed 1in hollow drag bar before I went to the track. It added 2lbs to the rear but it was the best compromise between weight and performance I could find. I didn’t want a big heavy drag bar, but based on my 60ft time and it launching strait as an arrow I think it definitely did it’s job.
Stock SS bar: 9.4lbs
Detroit Speed: 11.4lbs

Installed TA performance girdle to give the poor 10-bolt a little moral support. The pinion seal is leaking some so it was throwing oil all over the tunnel so I cleaned that up while I was under there as well.

Looking good, I switched my rear end cover to a TA one when I did my gear swap, its piece of mind and every little bit helps. Turns out the drag bar on my car hits the cover every once in a while, must be when I hit a bit bump or something. I'm wondering if the Detroit Speed drag bar position is further from the rear end cover?

Its crazy how a few mods can get you rolling that good and youre not even done yet. My LT1 has run like a 13.05 off the gas due to too much gear/short tire. Youre over a second and a half faster than me!!! I think that 550 lbs accounts for a lot of that but im not making up 15 mph without some serious changes.

Ha! Sorry. Parts laying around waiting to be put on. It’s hot in Florida now so I plan to take the summer aka “off season” to work on the car and get it ready for race season again next year.
Current parts/mods ready to be done:
Kmember
A-arms
Front/rear race brakes
Abs delete/manual brake kit
Wideband
Higher converter (pt 4400 waiting, currently 3600 installed)
Considering:
Lightweight steering wheel
Sell yank ss3600 and pt 4400 and buy ss4000
Double adjustable front shocks
Better rear race shocks adjustable/double adjustable
Lightweight starter (looking for best option)
Innovators west or other lightweight UDP
Misc small weight reductions in all the right spots
Current location and condition lol:

Racecraft chromoly kmember and BMR aarms
bot at the track but on the dyno. I posted it before in this thread I think it was 11-12hp back to back only change is pump
uhh off the top of my head I think the maroon car is 3000-3050 race weight and black car is more like 3200 I’m not sure exactly. Both cars were running in 0 DA or maybe slightly better negative 100-200ish

We have found launching at 1800-2200 nets her the best sixty foot we just run some Strange SA and a ARB , hers will sixty 1.41-1.43 in great da and 1.44-1.47 in +1600 Da. We are moving to a 4400 converter to try and get the shift extension to 800rpm, we seeing 1200-1300 currently. We would like to see 10.60's@125 before we put her heads on, we have a set of TEA/TFS 215's sitting here.

So my dad and I pushed my maroon car and got the 6 speed stock internal record. I’m playing with my black auto these days and would love to get it in the 10s stock internal.
(for the Newbz “stock internal” means stock cam, heads, bottom end etc aka not opened/upgraded in any way and of course no power adders of any kind)
In the past it went a best of 11.5 but have some new plans for it. After it ran that, it was returned to stock and stored away for the most part. I have 4 kids now and run a business so the good ol’days feel far behind (back when Ls1tech was the sh*t!)
So I’m going to do an old school build thread. No one cares about these old records anymore but I like pushing towards a goal and would like to run 10s stock internal. This while keeping the car as stock appearing as possible and not doing anything crazy like running nitro etc 😂
The car:
02 Camaro SLP SS 345hp blackwing/GMMG car with 40k miles
Currently the car has a black wing lid, ported stock TB, SLP underdrive pulley and Yank SS3600. Also has the standard weight out of it like backseat, spare tire, bumper supports etc and ran a 12.2 @ 110. Not fast but the DA wasn’t great and still has stock exhaust manifolds/cats 😂
When the car ran an 11.5 it had the same intake setup plus a SSRA and 1 3/4 headers. Stock shocks. Tuned removing codes etc, but no dyno tune and no AFR logging/tuning
The plan for 10s:
Mamo ported Fast 102intake/Tb
4in Chrs1313 pro mod style intake
Meziere electric water pump
Actually tune the car maybe dyno tune, but definitely AFR reading and actually tune it 😂
1 7/8 wrapped headers w/true duals
Vacuum pump
Kmember
A-arms
Drag brakes
and plenty of little things/things I’m forgetting….
