Whoowhooo!!! We all knew it was only a short matter of time. Congrats on putting the LS1 there first!

Way to go on the 8-second pass! That's a MAJOR feat, and I'm glad to see it done with an LS1. This is what keeps the performance market so great! I think you need to drag it down to the Southern Shootout and show all of us a killer pass!

The SAM car (like myself) isn't spraying last time I heard (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) so either you have 'em both NA (ARE car loses big time) or you run the ARE car on the juice and the SAM car NA (SAM loses bigtime.) I wouldn't want to see either of those blowout races.

Our re-sleeved Blocks don't need filling. Its a street driven engine. Besides filling aluminum blocks is very different then filling iron blocks, making it VERY expensive and tricky.

We can tune the TNT DP's at very safe a/f mixtures, yet still make more power then other kits and also make PLENTY of power to get the numbers/goals were looking for. Keep up the great work down there Boys!

I have a few small corrections to be made from what I have been reading ...

The motor has LS1 Heads, not LS6. Its our regular 4.100 re-sleeved block that is avaliable to the public, with all our custom ARP main and head studs. No block filler used(read above). The block has been used for quite some time now, mostly at very high HP levels, but has had its share of regular street driving.
The suspension has all factory brackets, and uses all BMR bolt-on pieces,in stock locations, just moved in slightly to accomadate the tire so we could lower the car to look nice.

Congrats ARE crew!

Joe K, Chris Pippy called me, and I asked Tony to post it since I was at VFN Fiberglass, he was glad to... it's LS1 AND 4th gen history!

As far as the other off-topic comments no more of that, let's stay on topic.

I pretty much new ARE would hit the 8's first, and I had a sense that the Silver Z was using the motor from the C5...

Wade's Crazyfast Engines does it again! That's awesome, good work by everyone at ARE.

Chris, do you know if they are bringing the car to Grand Bend? I have to believe that's going to be the last cold race day of the year.

Hey guys, one more thing thats been thrown around... The engine in the Camaro is a different one from our C5. The only thing used from the C5 is the heads. We didn't have time to do another set up. The C5 bottom end is still ready to go if there's some Vette races later on

Hey Sled not to knock on your shoes but if you moved the LCA's and springs mounts over a little to accomodate the bigger tire then it's not a STOCK mounting point. But congradulations on hitting the 8's

Just imagine what you could do with a real suspension.
Nice run. Way to crack the barrier.

Congrats on the 8 second pass, this motor seems to be a strong one! As for all of the comments about ARE quality, they have a very bad reputation with me only because of what I have personally seen out of thier motors even recently. They do NOT have ALL of the sleeving issues worked out. Not to say that any shop does have it 100% fixed. It's a risk you take when you start messing with these motors, we all know the risks, so do with the info what you will. Personally that means taking my business elsewhere when the time comes.

but back to the congrats! 8's is awesome!!

The LCA's are the only thing moved in, but still bolt into the stock mounting point on the frame. We are setup for True Street which is a stock suspension class.

Due to medical reasons I couldn't get it out this year, but next spring it will be out. Whether I can drive it or not. If I have to, I'l get Wade to blast it down the track for me.
