All this "fastest 4th gen stuff"
The rules will never make everyone happy, but personally, I would like to see NA cars seperate from PA cars, and weight breaks depending on cubes.

That amount of money would be only fair for the guys from tex, CAN, and deep fla.
As far as the purse goes, Motown Muscle does not look to profit from these events so there is a good chance for a large purse. If MM breaks even, the event sponsors and participants profit we are happy. Of coarse, I doubt any MM guy would turn down a beer or two for their efforts.
Thanks!
Tom
There was never a mention of an LS1 only race, it said fastest 4th gen. Then I see LS1 guys start crying about rules and other cars and other types of inductions and it rattled me a bit.

Understandable, my friend. Obviously, people have different ideas about the limitations of this event.

quote:
Man, lets get this kicked off. I haven't been racing in over 3 years and I'm about dying for some HEADS UP action next year. I think it is great how the amount of interest in these get-togethers is growing so rapidly. Hopefully, we'll just keep drawing more and more and more attention and all kinds of good stuff will happen. This is great!
I'm not saying that customs could understand a dam thing I was saying, but...
You guys set it up, and if I can, I'll come to watch. It really plays with peoples minds when you pull up in your fancy SS, switch tires, blast off some 10.6's, load her back up & drive it home. The look on the 12 sec Mustangs being trailers, as I pass them on the highway, is priceless. Have a good day..

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
high quality track (i.e., St. Louis) to attract more racers.

To rent out gateway is gonna be expensive and causes the event organizers to find more sponsors or get more money out of the sponsors or even ask more from an entry fee/specator
Even though bowling green is a good 6 hours from me, i think it would be the place to be. Its a little further east than "central" but it holds many different organizational races there and isn't too bad to rent out.
I personally like the rules that Kurtis has come up with but i dont think you can keep this to stock suspended either. There are too many people who dont want to deal with the torque style suspension and just use ladder bars. And in essence....a torque arm is just one large ladder bar
What you *COULD* do if there was enough interest.....make 2 classes. 1 for stock style suspended and one for those who aren't.
THEN, if you had enough of those that ARE NOT stock suspended...put them in their own class. IF there isn't enough to do that, then i would say just give them a weight penalty for coil overs. A street ladder bar kit on a non-coilovered suspension doesn't scare me.
C5R SS,
Your car is sitting next to mine at APE right now and they do not belong in the same class with each other. If you think you will have your car ready by the event then show up for some exhibition passes or something.
Btw: Your paint job is incredible, it really is an awesome car.
Tom
For those of you who are not sure what a 4-linked coil-over suspension is, check out the following links.

As far as the paint and bodywork goes, all the credit goes to Jeff Mancini and his team at Auto Crafters (248) 628-5650. They did an exceptional job and I can’t wait to see it up close.
Exhibition passes are fine with me for this event, we just want to show what the car can do.
Later...

I would drive to go see a race in the midwest with what i hear is gonna go even without my car
I would love to see your car show up and run. From the pics a have looked at, there seems to be no reason why you could not.
Tom
As you said before you built a car w/o a set of rules, and so you ended up with a car that doesn't fit in the rules.
If that you can utilize all the parts you've gotten into you're gonna have one FAST Hot Rod. But for now, I'm still gonna talk smack. One Nitrous Plate will lay the Smack down on the Twin T-66s next spring.
BTW, quit blocking me on MSN Messenger Butthead.
