9s possible with pump gas and NA?
Who thinks it can be done. And if it can be done does anything think it can be done with a 4l60E tranny. So we will put a maximum compression ratio for this at 11.8.

I'm pretty sure my car (9.82) would have done that. I ran race gas at the track but it ran just fine on pump gas as well. Make it a solid lift cam and 9s on pump gas would have been a no brainer.

My VP110 fuel comes out of a pump, does that count? <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" />

Solid lift cam goes will be in within 2-3 weeks I hope. Also putting in a TCS 4000 stall verter (might as well take the plunge and try one of those - my interest perked up in them when I saw some 1.2x 60-foots getting run on them). Cam is actually going to be slightly bigger than what Judsen used to get the SAM Camaro into 9s. My car will have a raceweight about 150 lbs higher than theirs though, even after I get some weight reduction mods done.

Wassup Brad? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
Some of these 4L60-Es have come a long way. I was getting 65 passes or so when running 10.0s with mine. I think they can now be built to handle that for about twice as long. I plan to do some more extreme 4L60-E testing when the 471 CI engine goes in (maybe late this year.)
