Well it was good day at the track for the most part before the rain ! Weather temp was in the low mid 60's and humidity was about 90% and most had a solid 8 runs each.
Two of the fastest FBodys went mid 10's congrats Hurricane and Compus6 and even a steller 129 MPH trap from MechMan <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> Cartek had the fastest N/A car which was a Black ZO6 running between 11.2-11.4 in the mid 122's and had run one run with a 124 trap...And Congrats to NastySS with a low 11.6 in a 3600lb car <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
Not be be a bench racer but I would have loved to run Cartek's Black Z06 <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" /> but, my heads are not back yet so the new set up didnt make it out to the track yet <img border="0" alt="[cry]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cry.gif" />
All in all even my car wasnt finished it was a fun day <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

I could have swore I saw one of the Cartek C5's run a 10.99 at 123mph.. I know a C5 did run a 10.99 on the motor, but I do not know who the owner of the car was..

That car kept getting a little quicker through the day and I ended up leaving about 25 minutes before the end I saw it fixing to run again but decided to leave because I say the storm coming up <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> ...

Mike many kept getting quicker and quicker.. That 3rd Gen Camaro running 8's was awesome.. The TT Viper sounded so tame and kept running like 9.8's at 143mph..

the rain held off until around 1:30... his car definitly launchs pretty damn good <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

You'll see when they get back home and post the video... it seemed "pain"ful though...

I saw that the temps were in the low/mid 60s with 90% humidity, anyone know what the density altitude was down there at the track today?

Just heard from Dave and Julio of Cartek, on their way back from FL. Dave in his 98 Camaro had some transbrake problems on his first pass (first time using it), and with a messed up high 1.8 60', ran a 9.8@147 + mph all over the place down the track. On his 3rd pass, he came out scraping the back bumper <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> and did some damage coming back down. Oil pan, transmission housing and k member I think, were cracked.

The four other Cartek heads/cam cars ran in the high 10's-low 11's, and are driving back to NJ right now <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
