Does this save any noticeable weight over a regular motor mount setup or is it strictly for rigidity benefits

Not really any weight savings. Just making things more rigid!

This plate is by far the best quality LS1 motor plate out there!! It also installs the easiest.

Does the midplate have any trouble clearing big headers, I have Kooks 1 7/8 - 2" and they dont leave much room back there

Very nice! The only problem I have is that the midplate wouldn't work with my turbo setup. Hmm. Any pics of the midplate?? Without those motormounts life would be SO much easier.

with this kit, is there any other modification needed? such as making the waterpump mate up to the plate and the plate to the block? if you have the front plate is the rear plate (mid plate) absolutely nessecary? i'm thinking about building a nitrous motor for the Z and this looks like a good option. let me know please. thanks

All you will need is a couple of extra water pump gaskets. Two in back of the plate and two in front of the plate. No other work to get this plate to mount up. The mid plate is not a mandatory item but, is suggested.
