Handle 500+rwhp?

Not sure if this is the right thread for this ? will a 2001 ttop camaro handle 500+rwhp with welded subframe connectors? what else can you do aside from a full race cage? anybody running a ttop car with big power? all advice appreciated! thanks

there is a vert running 7sec and 1500hp

id say yes. and you dont need a cage, but it would help!

i guess i was just worried cuz my buddy said i would have problems with the power twistin the car up and popping a top out or breaking one. im ready to spend some big money on perf. upgrades and this gave me a scare.

A good set of subframes that are welded on will be fine.We have a 700hp T top F-body that is still running straight after some real hard launches with just 2 point subframes.

I've been daily driving mine for two years and have never had a problem with the t-tops or stress cracks in the body. I'm using two point subframe connectors and a six point cage.
