Bogart D10s
Moser 12 Bolt (Stock size/axle length) with 4.56 gears
I run any of the following rear tires:
Good Year 30x10.5x15
Mickey Thomspn 29.5x10.5x15
Hoosier 30x10.5x15

I have Hoosiers on the car right now, I am liking them the best so far.

I trimming the rear wheel well fender about 1" to clear the 30" tires, also removed the bump stop and beat the hell out of the frame in the wheel well with a BFH. I plan to do some mini tubbing later this year and try to tuck a little tire.

Here's a pic from a camera phone:

Since Lee went ahead and put up a pic ...

I'm going to try to fit a 325 (#3757) drag radial under the car too this year. That should be an adventure.

Here is a few pics of mine. I cut the intire inner wheel well out. The tire is a 28x10.5w on a 15x10 with 5in. back spacing. The axle was not in for the pics, but it is narrowed 3 inches per side. It is obviously not done yet, but it might have a shot at single digit's .

So did all of you mini-tub it? Got pics of where to cut? What did you use to re-make the well? Greg, maybe I can swing by and see it?

Also, do all of you have narrowed 9" / 12 bolt rears?

No mini-tub, stock width 12-bolt in back. Takes a lot of time w/ a plasma cutter, MIG and a grinder.

So if I get a stock length 9" rear what is the largest size tire I can put on there without mini-tub and what needs to be cut?

If I get a narrowed 9" (3"/side) what's the largest tire I can fit and I know it will need to be mini-tubed.

thanks for the help guys

Anyone know the answer to this? I just ordered my 29.5x10.5 W tires for test fitting in a car that I want to run in the LS1Tech Extreme Modified class at Thunder. I currently have 10" D10s with 7.5" BS with a stock sized 9"...am I going to need to go to a narrowed 9" and minitub to fit this tire?

Thanks!

For a 29W, I would say a minitub would be in order. For my 28W, just a lot of cutting, but no tub. I did cut out a LOT of metal, but it was all around the frame rail/spring pocket.
