Default Everyone who wants to hook great and pull wheels needs qa1s and et street radials!!!

i went to the atco this saterday for the first time with my new qa1s
R shocks with 325 springs up front and regular 12 ways for the back with stock springs

i had them set at 1/1 front and 5/6 back

and now im hookin like crazy!!! i pulled the wheels...not only the driverside a few inches but i lifted the passanger side like 6-8 inches!!!! and im gettin got 60 ft times high 1.6s and this is all on a MT ET street radial set at 14 lbs

i went to etown a few weeks ago but all i got was wheel hop even with the whole sphon suspention TA, LCA, panhard, brakets for the lcas on a 12 bolt with 4.11s and the etstreet radials.

i called up MADMAN and he told me that my shocks were hurtin me bad and told me the exact set up to get. And it worked like a charm.

THANKS MADMAN

now i had some bad problems with my hydrolic fluid being so hot and it was not shiftin to second so i let her sit for and hour and got my last pass of the day 11.91 @ 117 with a 1.70 60 ft and that was shiftin soft and slow so i did not get locked out again. i think next time i will set the shocks at 2/2 and 4/5 becasue is launchin so hard that its boggin me down a bit and i think my foot cam off the gas a little so now next time i will be gettin 11.60s for sure and 119 mph!!!

Someone obviously found new fun in, in traction! But QA1's are not required, got some guys hooking 1.6-1.7's on ET DR's and stock shocks, prepped track.

ya i ahve seen people with stock shocks do crazy times but im a 6speed car so its harder for me and the fact is my rear shocks were totaly shot after only 18000 miles...all those hard shifts and the fact that they had to contol a much heavier 12 bolt rear

but i am very happy

with the original qa1's I run 4 on in the front and stockers on the rear and best of 1.54 on a 325 dr and 1.52 on a 28/11.5 et street. on the olders I found on a slick track go softer and 4 was about as high as it would go and still hook. just takes some playing, I burnt down a new set of tires figuring them out.

man i wish my car was hooking like that this weekend, i was trying to get into the 11's this weekend since the cold weather came into play but the best 60'ft i could get was a 1.78 compared to my previous 1.64's on shitty weather, track prep has a lot to do with it, i'm thinking on swapping the nitto drags for some e.t. streets though, what do you guys thinK, worth a shot? or waste of money.?

sorry for hijacking the thread

Keep tightening up the front until the 60's slow.
Some where in there is a sweat spot.
Bogging will heart your 60 but even worst for your 330.
Tune for your 330 time for M6.

mt radials are that good,1.6 60's? wow. m&h racemasters get me 1.3 60's and pull the front 3-feet in the air on a stock weight m6 car.
IF YOU WANT TO HOOK REAL HARD AND PULL THE FRONT WHEELS YOU NEED Q-A1's AND M&H RACEMASTER' cheeter slicks. www.intercotire.com just busting your ***** bro, nice job. do you drive on the m/t's or just use them for track use? if they are track only look into a better tire to hook.

ya im boggin after the launch thats why the 60 ft is not all there
it pops up but for olny a second thats why my friends were tellin me i need to tune the shocks some more
i expect some 1.5s form a launch like that hahaha

my car is stock wieght also man
i use the mts for everyday driving aswell as for the strip...its cool driving to the track on some radials and pullin the wheels then drivin home on the same tires

if i deside to juice it or something next year i will get a set of et drag 28 x10.5 for the track ad use the radials for na passes and street duty. im going to get some convopros 15x7.5s or 15x8.5 and some 275/50/15s for everyday driving for the back of the car next year

oh and forgot to mention the size of the tire is 255/50/16...just a skinny 16 inch tire hahaha

You can hook hard enough off of DR's to put it on the bumper or close...trust me. This spring, just off idle on slicks, I put my car up on the bumper off the footbrake tearing up a set of Madman SYAB's (Save Your *** Bars)...see a post from the spring on this.

A few weeks ago, I made a few runs on BFG DR's off the footbrake, ruining another set of Madman SYAB's, but not before 1) Just about putting it on the bumper again (real close), and then 2) Running a 1.32 60' before getting out of the groove badly and lifting, this again, off idle on the footbrake, front HAL's at full firm...that run "only" lifted them about 10-12". To an earlier reply, you don't have to have them up in the air to 60' hard...just look at a Pro Stock leave.

Sometime this winter, I want to take the car down to Madman to complete the conversion to my 6-pt cage over to a 10 / 12-pt, plus add some wheelie bars so I can finally try the transbrake and leave against the converter hard. Should 60' quite nicely then, even on the old BFG DR's I run (325/50/15's).

PS: Madman, glad I bought two replacement sets from you in the spring!

man you A4 guy got it easy man
1.5 60fts with no suspension on radials all you need is your right foot and converter hahaha
you can even run on a 10 bolt for ever

6 speed costs so much more money to go fast man it sucks

but it feels real good pullin those gears

Boy are you ever right about that!!!!!
Auto’s don’t take much!

My brother (Slacker) has been sixtying good for a long time (verter and MT DR’s), while I have been working hard on suspension to catch up.
Now when we heads up race, he still over there just flip-in thur the radio stations, while I am next to him rowing my *** off.

Next, I am expecting to see Bright White Flashes coming from his car!
That will be him in there taking picture of my tail light as I row my way by.
