I made mine from a 'CarMax' plastic tag that comes on the front of the cars they sale. I used some black RTV and it works but I need to find a better idea. OH and I painted it black....

Some other guys are using some ABS plastic but not sure how they are attaching it and it staying, that is my concern.

Others have used some sort of sheet metal or the like....and again, not sure how they are attaching it and it staying there with switches/etc.

yea i had bent up a piece of aluminum and bolted it right in place but it was flmzy and everytime i would hit a switch it felt like it was going to cave in. So i think im going to take some think plastic or whatever and try to figure something out.

I got a peice of plexi glass. Real easy to cut. And then I took a peice of carbon fiber vinyl.(I cut vinyl) And cover it. I have my switches and a fuel pressure gauge in there.

I did the partsexpress option as well... Fits really well and looks very clean. The black blends almost perfectly with the LT1 dash.

For the HVAC part, I took the components out of the factory switch panel, removed the vinyl "screen" that has the printing on it, and hot glued the plate to that.

For the radio... well, my head unit got stolen, so I used the flat mounting bracket and hot glued the plate to that.

I think my plate was 1/8" thick. It fits nicely, with no stretching to get the dash components to bolt back together.

I just used a sheet of aluminum, punched holes for the switches with a drill press... Painted it and then used a circular wooden spacer about 1/2" thick and used the factory hardware...
