Did the cage fit well or was some cutting and fabbing necessary? I'm strongly considering one of these. How did you go about painting the cage after it was welded in? Did you drop your fuel tank or find a way around that? Thanks in advance.

The door bars fit kind of shitty but I can live with them... If you want the doors to shut perfect, get some wolfe door panels... other then that, they will hit the bars a little...
The majority of the notches were PERFECT... Overall, it was a good kit for the price, but you know what they say, 'You get what you pay for!'
Also, spend the extra money and get the chromoly... The mild steel is VERY heavy!!!
As far as the gas tank goes... I will not give any advice on that... I wasnt comfortable with the way we did it, but the guy doing the welding said we would be ok... and we were in his garage so I said screw it... As you can we survived!!!

I hear ya on the gas tank situation...would have done the same...lol. I was talking with Kevin up there about the weight. He said 100lbs for the MS and 65 for cr-mo. The cr-mo is about the same price as a wolfe so don't know where I'm going now. We'll see.

Yeah the door bars are pretty much teh deal breaker for me...
I was considering getting one of thier bolt-in 6-point roll bars, as for the price they come with dual swingouts, but I was concerned the bars go straight down, not curve-in and then bend a little lilke the Wolfe bars do...
Hmm, maybe I can just find someone locally to bend the door bars a tad to tweak them around the door panels... That way it would be pretty close to what the Wolfe setup offers...
I mean the difference in price is over $400 shipped for the S&W bolt in to the Wolfe bolt in mild steel with the same configuration (removeable crossbar, dual swingouts, over-the-seat bars, etc)... That is a lot for a couple of bends in the door bars... And if I went with teh chromemoly Wolfe it is almost 3x the price... Which just seems insane...
