Default anyone thats installed line lock, please come in.

I installed mine this weekend. Brakes work but when I activate the line lock it doesn't hold. The led goes on so I know I'm getting power. the only thing I can think of is I reversed the wires on the line lock because they are both black so I just guessed which one to ground. Does that make a difference? Anyone thats done it please help me out.
Thanks,
Lou

It does not matter how the wires are hooked up on the soleniod. It will work either way. Try it with the car off and see if you can hear it clicking, it should be pretty loud. Make sure you have a good ground.

Did you install the solenoid upside down? That is what will happen if you did.

Yeah sorry I didn't explain better, I know how to use it. As for bleeding the brakes, I just did it today, does that matter? I was getting brake pressure so I thought it would work. I should go out and try it again. It is also mounted the right way. I think it might be a bad connection, the ground is a possibility or maybe one of the splicers didn't make contact. As long as I know the wires can't be switched I'll have to just go out and trouble shoot my connections. Thanks for the help everyone.

Bleeding is absolutly necessary. You should bleed all 4 wheels until fresh brake fluid comes out. I used a MityVac & it was real easy.

Just to let you all know, it was the switch. when I put the ash tray back in it must have put pressure on it and broke it. I snapped it back together and now it works. Now I just have to get one pain in the *** brake line connector to stop leaking.

is it a lock or a roll control?. They are differant. A lock can be installed either way(in/out) A roll control iis a like a oneway valve. With this you can turn it on then press the brakes and it will allow fluid to pass in that direction. If installed backwards it won't work. A lock will lock pressure in either direction

My line lock has always had a strange problem. If you put on the brake easy and set the line lock then it holds some. If you put the brake on hard and set the lock, then it does not hold at all. Any ideas? Brakes have been blead. The line lock clicks.
