Spray in bedliner instead of carpet
Remember the old Roadrunners interior? Ha, I saw remember but I was born 15 years after they were made...
Anyways, they lacked carpet and had a bedliner-ish floor didn't they?
Could weight be saved by using a spray in bedliner instead of lightweight carpeting, or is the lightweight carpeting the way to go?

THat stuff actually weighs quite a bit, I used to help a guy with his Line-X business, but will help with sound deadening alot. I have sprayed it in old 4x4's and jeeps, but never seen it done in a car.

I do bodywork for a living and remove/replace beds all the time. the ones with the spray in bed liner are a hell of alot heavier than without. I think your going to end up the same weight wise but have a crappy looking interior and more road/engine noise.

Q. How much weight is added to my truck?
A. Your Rhino Lining will add between 45 and 65 lbs to the weight of your truck depending on the size of your truck bed.

This spray is totally diff. than normal truck bed lining. Sorry, I shoulda mentioned that. I think it would probably suck as a bed liner actually. Its not tough enough for all that wear and tear-however, it should be good for normal car use.
The 2 cans from Autozone cost me about 15 bucks and weigh about 3 pounds. I'll let you know how it looks-and I'll be honest if its complete **** as long as you show me where to buy some cheap carpet

If you do use a real spray in bedliner, you dont have to spray it thick. I know lots of places spray the bed area thin and around the edges thick so it looks thick and rugged.

jesus, why argue about how much the **** weighs? Get off your asses and go weigh one can of the lining spray, no f*cking way is it close to 45 lbs. Hell, it aint even 10lbs and I am sure you can spray the interior flooring (carpeted area) with one quart. Hell, I used an 8oz bottle of POR-15 and covered two coats on my new 9". Guess I will have to get off my *** tomorrow and see how much one quart of spray in bedliner weighs
