Default Stock LS1, weight reduction only:12s possible?

I'm trying to get a base time before I install all of my mods. I gotta question though-is it possible to see 12.9x with weight reduction and a cutout only?
Here is my reduction list that should be done by the time I hit the track on Saturday
-Rear seats
-Carpet
-Spare
-Passenger seat
-washer resevoir
-sway bar
-bumper supports
-1/10th tank of gas

I'm also thinking about just cutting the stock catback off all together and driving around on the manifolds for a while until I get my parts installed (a couple months!). I figure this can't be much louder than running with an open cutout but it will weigh much less. What do you all think?
BTW its an A4 with 2.73s

I'm not sure, but I think it should be possible. Your biggest variable is going to be traction (assumming you're on stock tires also).

Cheap *** stock tires at that. I don't have any traction problems now. They are brand new. I got the cheapest ones they had because I needed them right away. I plan on prostars by mid summer.

I ran with stock manifolds to the y pipe for a couple days, !catback. Sounds just like a cutout.

I dont think you even need weight reduction to see a 12. Wait I just seen its a 98.

I'll def. need some weight reduction for 12s.
I'm going to try to knock off the bumper supports, catback and swaybar this week. Maybe the extra fender weight if I get around to it.

My car did 12.8's with a lid, cutout, and pulley. No weight reduction either. Just leave the stuff in there and baseline the car.

That is my baseline. I daily drive it without all that extra weight, I don't care what it will run with all the weight in there as I won't ever have in there again.

good luck making it down the track with that tiny amount of fuel. i wouldn't mess around with taking out the bumper supports as you will be screwed if you have an accident and the insurance finds that they have been removed.

If you puul everything out that you are willing to sacrifice in a daily driver, you will see 12's, if not just borrow a set of slicks and it's guaranteed!

What if I don't cause the wreck, will insurance still **** with me?
I'm confident in my driving, but have been hit 3 times. As long as the other insurance company doesn't go crazy, I'm cool
I may keep a tad more fuel in the car-but I think the track sells race fuel, so I SHOULD be able to fill up there.

I don't trust insurance companies at all, they will look for any reason not to give you money, and no front bumper support is enough for them to f#!@ you!

Yes. They will mostly likely either drop you or not pay for any damages. I'd leave those in if it's a dd. But to still loose weight take the drivers seat out and get a cheap plastic racing seat from summit. They're 12lbs. That's what I did. It may not help the bling bling factor but I don't care. I'm all about the ET and not how pimp my ride looks.

Those 2.73's are gonna hurt you. My wife's Z did 12's (see sig) with a lid, cutout and meter w/ a A4 and 3.42's. I think on radials with a 2.0 60ft you'll need about a 106 trap speed to hit a 12. What are you trapping at now?

Race fuel is bad in a vehicle that doesn't need it and a stock LS1 does NOT need it...and besides that, it is $5.50/gal.

Slicks won't help w/ 2.73 gears and a stock stall. The car will just bog.
