technically he should do the floor bars for a 25.5 cert while he's there, that way it will be done and be easier to upgrade to a 25.5 car if thats not his intentions already..

I started on mine. It is going to be a little different than yours but should be nice. We deal with the 3800 v6 engines and are limited with the trans and being fwd. But as of right now with them turned down they are running low 9's with 154 mph trap speeds. So I decided to build a firebird with the 3800 twin turbo with all the goodies. Here are some pics of it so far, it should be done in 2 months. I'll keep the pics coming as we go.

depends how far you want to go. If your doing the job yourself it isnt all that expensive. The materials arent all that costly regarding the frame rails and tubing and what not. The real money starts in the rear components and suspension.
Im not sure what a average shop would charge ya for the labor and work but it will be in the thousands.

I priced several local shops several years ago... To take a 1990 camaro to a 25.2 legal blackhalfed car roller(4 link rear suspension and narrowed 9" rear included) was gonna be in the neighborhood of 15K.

yeah to take a car to a certain certification is gonna cost big money most 25.2 and 25.5 cars are north a 15 - 20k. If you just want to build a fun backhalfed street car and not worry about the certification then the price drops considerably.
