Default Hooser 315-35-17 drag radial vs MT ??

Hoosier now has a 315-35-17 drag radial. I'm looking for something to keep a ~ 500 rwhp car planted as well as possible.

MT was supposed to come out with a 315, but right now all I can find is the MT 275-40-17 ET street radial.

I am not concerned about wear at all. This will strictly be a Saturday night/fun car. It will be garage kept, never seeing rain, snow, etc. I want maximum dry weather traction with decent road manners. I'm looking for hook on the street and strip. I like the looks of the 315s, it will look very aggressive on the car. Is the Hoosier 315 my best bet....raceweight should be in the 3450 range....

After having run nittos exclusively since '99 I was anxious to try it as a new tire. Unfortunatly funds would only allow for the BFG so I guess we'll try those first. Otherwise I have heard nothing bad about the Hoosiers. It seems a lot more mustangs run them than Fbody guys. SVTperformance has a few guys that run them.

I wanted M/T's but got tired of the lies. I have Goodyear SS drag radials on backorder from Summit (315/35/17), they are supposed to be in at the end of Jan..

Might want to cancel the order and get the Hoosiers! A guy posted up on here one time on how the new Goodyears sucked. A search will find it.

For years they keep saying this size will come out in a few months (they will give you the month). When that time comes and there are no tires if you e-mail them they will give you a new date a few months down the road, and so on and so on.
