Default Is 12lbs good for a molded carpet?

I found a place that let me order a molded carpet for the bird my way. No jute backing and no heal pad. It was the lightest they offered.

The jute was shipped loose and weighed in at 6lbs. The carpet was 12lbs.

So if the listed 35lbs in the weight reduction section is correct. I just saved 23 lbs.

What did the light weight carpet you used to be able to buy weigh?

I wanted to change the carpet from graphite to black anyway.

Thanks in advance.

I'm intrested.. I am abotu ready to order the ozite, figuring it will weight about 5 to 6 lbs when done, but for a solid one piece that is molded to the floor that weigh's 12 lbs, I'll eat the 6 lbs.

The aftermarket carpet suppliers have LIGHT carpet. thats what i put in my '88 t/a. it was probably no more than 15 lbs. i cant remember the names of the suppliers, but jegs and summit sell their stuff.
the factory stuff has gotta be at least 50-60lbs.

I found a place called Stock Interiors on the net and they allowed me to order it without the jute but still shipped it loose in case I wanted it.

I think it was something like $229.

I will try to install it next week. It is not cut either, but for me that is a bonus since I have no rear seat. This will clean that up with out a delete kit.

So I have a little trimming a few holes to punch.
