Default MT Drag Slick or BFG Drag Radial?

Heres the deal I have a 10 bolt rear and need a sticky tire for the track. My plan is to ride the clutch out not dump to prolong my 10 bolt at the track. I really want the MT Drag Slicks on stock 16x8 wheel. My other option is to get the BFG Drag Radials for my 18x9.5 ZO6 wheels. I dont do any street racing as these will be for the track only. I know the Drag Slicks will work better with the M6 but would the BFG Drag Radials help me riding the clutch out? I hope someone knows what I'm talking about.

Get Nitto DR's till you get the 9" The BFG's hook very well and will explode your 10bolt.

M/T or anyone else for that matter doesnt make a true " drag slick" in 16" sizes anyway, they are all the "E/T Street" & DOT versions with two grooves in them and rubber with less hook!

Actually, Hoosier makes their FULL slick in a 16" size. The part number is 18153.

Drag radials are pretty brutal. I think if you tweak your suspension to really make them hook, you WILL break parts... My experience is that when you get them hot they are pretty harsh on shifts too. Tme M/T E.T. Street Slicks seem pretty nice for a street stick car at the track. They are a lot easier on parts and won't wheel hop.

I recomend that you first get a rear end.

FWIW I pulled a 1.81 60' on 17" BFG DRs and Bilstiens. They should hook plenty good for a stock 10bolt until you upgrade.

I had BFG's as well on my 17's. Stock Suspension and had a 1.82 60'

Now I switched to MT Drag Radials, gotta see how they do.
