Here is a link to a video of mine from back in June: http://video.ls1tech.com/video/83106...59018a487d.htm

TS6: I don't drive mine on the street unless it is from my house to the track (less than 2 miles) or to the shop (3 miles away). I had my guy turn them out instead of straight down for the sound and fume factor. I think turning them in at the same angle would have the same effect.

You guys convinced me to run this setup, only I'm gonna try dynomax bullets first. If it's too much I might go to a bigger muffler like the Magnaflow. I loved the way my Magnaflow catback sounded so I can just imagine how this setup would be.

Plus good weight savings.

ive always wondered why everyone seems to turn them out as well..

we've always turned them in for the same reasons you mentioned, but more-so because it keeps the water in between the tires more, instead of spraying it towards the tires in the event that we push a head gasket...

hey Matt...

coincidentally, i just weighed my true duals yesterday and they only weighed 42# Total. now mine has an x, no cats, are only 2 1/2" vs your 3", dual flowmaster 2 chambers, & dumped before the axle also.

did you happen to weigh your duals after you took them off the car? i know you said you tried to keep the car the same for the before/after weigh in, but to save 50#+ and by eliminating only the pipes & X is very surprising because i didn't think tubing weighed that much.

did you have cats or cutouts on the dual setup that it weighed that much? it interests me but i think i would only save maybe 20# at the most.

No, I weighed the car before and after, not just them. They were 3" duals with Sweet Thunders and dumped at the axle. I don't know why, but they were fuggin heavy when I took them off. Maybe they were regular steel. They came with the car so I don't know. The Magnaflows are very light though.

My TD's weighed a ton too. I didn't weigh them but mine have Dynomax super turbo's on them and are at least 50 or 60 lbs, dumped at the axle too.

wow, that is heavy! after hearing that 1 idle clip i'm not going to do it, it sounded LOUD! my f/m are pretty quiet and i've had a set of dual QTP cutouts sitting here for almost a year waiting to go on and may just add those to it.

Funny, he said quiet. SSmoov1 has spiral flows with turn downs off the headers, it is much louder than the two vids posted. Mostly a street car with full interior, and you cant hear yourself think inside the car! I believe he is going to try a X pipe with the spiral flows to see if moving them back makes it better, but you guys say it doesn't change much?

I used the band clamps on all my stuff. It makes working on the car easier in my opinion. Mine doesn't leak.

Just go to Napa or just about any parts store, they are about $10 each.
