Default Weight reduction--can this go?

It's tied into the air bag wiring. I'm guessing it's an air bag module.

(I circled the problem )

If it has yellow plugs then it airbag. The body control module is also over there so make sure the one you circled has yellow plugs.

Yes, all the plugs are yellow. The other module is mounted in the area of the kick panel.

Yep, it's gonna be a stripper race car. Just getting it cleaned out for the 10 pt. cage. My $1,000 ebay special that runs I'll drive it around with the V6 until I'm ready to swap the motor/drivetrain. That gives me plenty of time to get everything else done.

That box was labeled, so it's already gone

There aren't any laws preventing you from driving that around now that you don't have airbags or much of an interior right?

You mean like laws that prevent you from doing a burnout?
I drove my 1980 Z28 with no interior at all to see what it felt like. Should have left the drivers seat in, I almost went into the trunk!

If you can get at the freeze plug, pick up that rubber expansion plug and run it!

Do you know how much (or little) it weights now?

I guess you are referring to the Throttle body control module? Just clarifying.

Is that the regular JAZ plastic seat, or is it a different one?

Also, how did you mount it?

Looks good.

Yeah, pretty much sheetmetal on wheels. I'll probably weigh the car once I'm completely finished with it.

It's Summit Racing's plastic seat. It could very well be the JAZ seat sold under the Summit brand.

I mounted it with S&W Race Cars Seat Mount Kit along with some additional square tubing.

Is it pretty flimsy without the cage? I need a lightweight seat I can install and drive in for a couple of weeks before I get my cage done. I want to have the seats setup before hand to test for comfort purposes and don't want to have to redo the seat back mounting brackets.
