Mine started to fuzz up but I threw in a floormat.

I'm going to cut mine up into pieces to get a better fit over the rear seat wells. If it wasn't for that it would look stock. I'll probably just use some velcro on corners to hold it in place. I still need to install a rollbar so no point in gluing right now.

I emailed the folks at stockinteriors. They said I could order the carpet without any backing on it. I will probably end up doing that. I'm sure it will be a little heavier but it will last much longer than the ozite stuff.

Did they quote you a price? I went to their website but a kit for our cars is like $213 on there but it doesnt list a backing...at least I don't think so....seems kinda pricey...

You know I forgot to ask them for pricing. Since that backing is included in their standard price I don't think they will take any $$$ off if any. I just got a reply from them and they said it weights about 22lbs without the backing.

Just emailed them for pricing without backing I'll let you know what they say.

Cool man thanks!

Think I'm going to check hobby lobby tonight for that stuff mentioned above. The only worn spots mine will see is the front seats and I'll run mats there - no back seat so I'm not as worried about the stuff fraying/crapping out quick.

No prob. If you can't find any of the carpeting they mentioned above you can look for a upholstery shop in you area and they should have a bunch of different carpets in stock.

Finally went by Hobby Lobby yesterday. I asked 3 different people there if they'd heard of it, they all looked at me like I was crazy. I told them a guy from another state got it, and tried to explain it and they were still clueless. This was at one of the largest hobby lobbys in the country mind you! LOL

Oh well, I ordered ozite, gonna attempt to install it next week after I get the 6 pt in this weekend. Any tips of advice on install besides starting from the front and using adhesive on the floor and the carpet itself?

For the amount of weight you save with that light weight carpet I don't think its worth it. By the time you add the weight of glue, padding, ect.... I would think your close to the factory carpet weight. Anyone know what the factory carpet weight? I will be putting the factory carpet back in over the winter.

Factory carpet is 40lbs. Ozite is 7lbs. If you use 33lbs of glue, you are a retard!

Didn't relize factory carpet is that heavy. Besides, 33lbs of glue huh? Well, I just want to make sure it stays in place! LOL

Yeah, lol, no padding. Just lots of 3M heavy duty industrial strength spray adhesive is what I'm thinking.

Haha, I was just trying to get the point across. Factory carpet is 40lbs. The padding itself is 18lbs. You said about adding the carpet, glue, and padding, but the ozite weighs 7lbs, the glue maybe a 1lb for the whole car if you're ****, and most don't use padding because they have race cars like me

I will be next week after I get the carpet installed on monday night. I'm going to run mats though so hopefully it'll stay together okay. No backseat so I'm not worried about wear back there. With it covered with mats I'm hoping it'll stay in good shape.
