Arrow 7 second engine recommendation

Who could create a super lightweight longblock engine LS1 to use it with a big shot nitrous to be around 7 sec's or low 8s if anyone has anything that would be appreciated.

Please let me know,

Thanks in advance

Dart has a good block. You could also go with the GM LSX block that is rated to 2500hp. If you are looking for a 7 second car, you should probably just consider cast iron. You can get alot of cubes out of cast iron and the GM LSX block will let you get 4.25" of bore (up to about 454 cubic inches)

Personally...

If I had a million Dollars I would start with the LSX block, Use a Lunati or Eagle forged Crank with Manley H-beam Rods using ARP 2000 rod bolts and Scat or Keith Black forged pistons (depending on your compression choice) A super high Capacity oil pump and deep sump pan. And thats just the short block lol

Maybe one day though...

Didn't dart come out with a completely BILLET ALUMINUM block? If so, that would be very light and strong....

lsx block, with a displacement of low 400ci to keep your head gasket sealing surface large, add nitrous. btw, an just an engine is not going to get you there, you need the whole setup - drivetrain and suspension are critical.

Lunati or Callies forged crank, LSX block, ARP 2000 rod bolts, Scat or Keith Black forged pistons, two stage nitrous. is that all what i need to be in 7 secs ??

What heads could seen 7s??

All setup has been done and the car was in 9.5 secs with FMS 427cid and 300 of nitrous.

7 seconds are you kidding me!...You need almost a 2000HP car to be seein those kinds of slips...LSX motor probably boosting 30+PSI might get you there...You will have to shell out a lot of money...I am sure more than you are willing to spend...Have you even been in a 7 sec car, or even witnessed one in person?..Complete insanity!!!

No i'm not kidding.. im always in mid 9 secs and now is the time for high 7s or low 8s because i'm the slower car in my class so i should to be stronger.

LSX motor with boosting 30+PSI that's should be in low 7 secs.

You're right and im ready to pay for that kind of engine.

I'm STILL need help..

Try postin somethin up in the FI forum or nitrous...
It maybe can be done with a well built, forged, low compression motor, with a procharger F3R supercharger boostin around 30#...Those guys know a lot more then me...I am sure they will steer you in the right direction...What kind of set-up do you have right now to be running 9's?..

The fastest person it's the black firebird correct?? that time isn't with LSX block right??

^ It is. Thats were I got mine, but I am far from a single digit time. I think with a car that modified you would want somthing a little more in depth.

The biggest problem people are having with 8's on spray is lifting the heads off the block and pushing water. You can have a big overflow and run it til it pops, then replace, but even guys with o-ringed gaskets are not able to hold it together. Granted this is on the 4 bolt head style blocks, even with 1/2 inch studs.

If you are dead set on spraying into the low 8's and 7's, you need either the LSX or World 6 bolt/cyl head blocks, and coinciding World 6 bolt/cyl heads.. then have them sent out to be ported and worked over, and get a custom sheetmetal intake to match them. It's big bucks, but you know what you're looking for.

I would contact someone like Kateck or Wheel to Wheel and tell them what you want to do.

1) call W2W talk to Kurt
2) It is a miracle you ran mid 9's with a mail order tune. I think if you manage to run in the 8's with a mail order tune you should contact the vatican because it will be a verifiable miracle. You are going to have to learn to tune or find the closest one possible and have them come to you.
3) custom billet dart block

Yes it is, it's hard to find a pro tuner here in Kuwait, we have 2 shops of dyno's and another one under construction. anyway.. the car was put down 720rwhp after PFL tune 790rwhp with same shots 250hp. and best time was 9.5 with 300 shots

Before a while some shops they have agreements with some Americans pro tuner guys and we have deal with some of them but they asked for a huge amount.

Guys.. now the level that i arrive it is block LSX, ET heads 6 bolts (1/2"), sheet metal custom intake manifold and tow stages of nitrous.

W2W will cantact them soon after i get some estimates from other companies.
