Grinding Calipers 101
#101
In the middle of doing this as we speak....grinding isn't so bad...the problem I have is no air compressor so putting the lugs on by hand to test fit is getting OLD! Cant wait for the finished result....brb I have to go and grind right now!

FWIW, used an electric grinder with 40 grit...shaved the calipers down in no time! I was dreading grinding down my calipers, but I would not hesitate to ever do it again. I'd rather do this then exhaust ANY day! Seriously would have only been a two hour job had I had an air compressor...

I am dealing with the opposite. i have a 7/16 spacer on the front and have grounded a ton and im not even close. the rears i used 5/16 spacer and still had to grind a little. not near as much as the fronts. these are weld prostars. can someone post a pics of the fronts and how much they had to grind?

the lug nut needs to fit flush with the outside of the nut. atleast. track officials want to see the stud stick out past the nut the same length as the diamter of the stud. but flush is fine. just dont think your stock studs will EVER be ok with drag lites or pro stars. no way. many people have tried it and the rim will bust the stock studs and you'l be lucky if you dont get into an accident when one of your wheels goes flying off the car.
